Pieces,

Maybe it is just my slightly drunken state, but was there actually a topic there? :D

What about:

Don't You Forget About Me-Simple Minds-Breakfast Club
Kokomo-Beach Boys-Cocktail
Glory of Love-Peter Cetera-Karate Kid
Gypsy Soul-Asia-Over the Top
Mighty Wings-Cheap Trick-Top Gun

Ah crap, ya suckered me into another assembly line. Am I really that easy? :(

Scott, I was going to put down-Don't You Forget About Me-Simple Minds-Breakfast Club, but I was just trying to list what I REALLY. Even though that may be one of the more popular one's and it was my class song, it never grew on me. :(

I'd add Playing With The Boys to the Top Gun list.

I LOVE the Pretty In Pink soundtrack, cheesy as it is.

How about Crazy For You from Visionquest? I was a huge Madonna fan at that point in my life.

I hate to admit it, but Top Gun and Footloose are still two of my favorite movies, to this day. And yes, I own both the soundtracks, extended versions, no less. :D

Yeah ek, add 'Playing With The Boys' to the Top Gun list. That's a great song.
Pretty In Pink is some awesome cheese! :P
Crazy For You, I got so burned out on that, but great song for that time in the movie.
80's movies and songs from them are so great!
Holiday Road sung by Lindsey Buckingham in the movie vacation may not be like the best song without the movie, but fits into the movie well.
What I like about so many of the songs on my list is that they are good to hear too without the movie.
So many of John Hughe's movies are great!
From the movies I listed here, some of my favorites are-
All The Right Moves
St Elmos Fire
Lost Boys
Vacation
Pretty In Pink
Sixteen Candles

Ah, John Hughes. Now there's a man who was very much in touch with my teenage angst, back in the day!
