And a terrible version of Sail Away with Getgowan on vocals in the back ground. Man this guy and Shaw's vocals don't even match.
I would go if Styx was not part of it .

Ditto. It's at a bad time of year for me as well, unfortunately, but it looks great! Sorry Froy, but as I look at everything included, I can live with a Gowan version of Come Sail Away. Not like I haven't heard it before.

And now, on deck one, tango lessons for all you seniors with the Big Band swinging sounds of Ramon and the Los Trabajaros.

Deck two features our double bill. Journey in the Close to Real Room and in the Boola Boola Lounge, Kevin Cronin will tell endless stories with an occasional song thrown in from the group, REO Speedwagon.

And in Steerage for all you boomers and their kids, Styx with the ever-so-grateful-to-be-included-on-this-cruise Nelson twins, as a featured opening act.

Enjoy our Cruise That Will Not End on Holiday Escape Cruise. Sorry! No refunds!

Now , if Dennis WAS going to be on the same cruise as the boys in Styx 2004, that would add alot of value to being there.......they could have Dennis and Tommy go a few rounds in a boxing ring, or better yet, tag team wrestling, pro style ! Dennis could partner up with Suzanne vs Tommy and his young maiden !

I think Dennis should book his way on the curuise incognito, and make the rest of 'em extremely uncomfortable for the whole cruise once they know he's there.....find a spare room and give an unplugged concert at the same time as Styx performs......what a dilemma that would cause !

Seriously, if not for timing, some of you would actually pony up for this as the best way to spend your hard earned money ? wow. For me, I might have done so 25 years ago, but I can think of many better values for my dollar today.

A few perks that I found out about from Styxlounge crowd about this cruise are: First off, if you purchase Platinum reservations thats 8C Oceanview-Penthouse Suite on the nights the ship is in Cozumel and Grand Caymen, Kevin Cronin(REO) will be reading bedtime stories for all children under the age of 6. I wonder how he will intertwind the REM/Playboy Mansion stories and Humpty Dumpty????? When the ship ports in Jamica Tommy's wife will be giving free haircuts for the first three hours there. Finally, on the last night JY will create a 5 course gourmet meal using only food that has been thrown into the ships dumpsters. Tommy's bride will then serve 6 different deserts made exclusively from her Easy bake Oven. Every meal served that night comes with a JY autographed copy of Styx Rockers. Prince and his Musicology tour has NOTHING on these guys!!! PERKS PERKS PERKS!!!!! I'M THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

As long as Larry Gowan doesn't sing it... I think the E.P.A. and the Coast Guard would be all over that one...

Actually, I'd like to hear Larry do it as part of a duet......with William Hung ! I bet their voices would have a unique synergy....

Maybe ol' William should be a guest artist on the next Styx studio release......hell, his CD is outselling theirs, he might just drag them up to the next level !

and since re-releasing the old hits seems to be right up their alley
they could re-cut a few of the classics with some Hung vocals....I'd like to hear him do:

Miss America
Blue Collar Man
Lady
Mr Roboto
Babe
First Time
Foolin Yourself
Light Up

and what the heck, he sounds so good on Queens "We are the Champions, lets throw that in here too !

Yea as you can see Larry is writting so many hits for Styx it's laughable.
And JY thinks he's a better musician
Shows what drugs JY is on.

JY: He( Gowan) is obviously more talented than the man he replaced....

Gowan: Thank you Uncle Jimmy....

Doesn't that sound familiar?????

It sounds like the corn may be the attraction.

LOL. At least Olathe seems to have their priorities straight.

How bad do things have to get when the report talks more about the corn than the band?

Since the event was mentioned in the Dining section of the newspaper, I'm thinking the band is opening for the corn.

How bout Tommy and Dennis pass each other in the hallway (ala Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as guest stars on the love boat years after the brady's were cancelled)...look at each other and say..."Hey don't I know you"? You guys forgot Mr Rourke and Tattoo greeting the guests on one of the side cruises to grant a fantasy....JY could get a singing voice plus some humility...."Boss ...De Plane De Plane"

The cruise is a little pricey, unless you want to ride in the bottom with the same clientel from the titanic..."there are women and children down here"

We went on a Carnival Cruise one time, a piece of advice, set aside 2 or 3 hundred just for tips...they all expect one at the end of the trip...JY might pass the hat too

AAAHHHHH good old sweet corn... As the best actor on T.V( Homer Simpson) would say, ALL YOU CAN EAT, ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!!!!!!!

I kind of like the ideal of Dennis and Tommy(or JY) involved in a celebrity boxing match...

Other matches are;

Sammy Hagar Vs. David Lee Roth
Jessica Simpson Vs Christina Aguilera (Britney had to bow out because of her blown knee)
Gary Coleman Vs one of the Oompa-Loompas(my money is on the Oompa Loompa)

And the sad thing is, that, a la the old gossip game, once this "corn" thing gets carried far enough down the line there WILL be Korn fans showing up at this concert.
There they would be --- all dreadlocked and ready for some crunch from Korn and they would get.............Nelson.

It could happen.

Bugsy,

The sad thing is the Korn fans wouldn't even get Nelson, they'd get Colorado's very own TOAST.

I'm sure Froy could interject something about the connection between Toast and the state of Styx's career.

Although I hear that Toast is a fabulous Bread cover band.

Just think, a great cover of "If" to get ya ready for "What If".
