IF THE WORLD ONLY KNEW!!!!!!

Did Dennis,JY or Tommy for that matter know what they had in Glen Burtnik??? His new CD is TOTALLY AWESOME!. It is soooo very hard to get past the first 5 songs... they are that good!! Superboy and Bam are two of the best songs you will ever hear. Another is an unbeliveble ballad. You will swear you are hearing REALLY good Bon Jovi in the songs Roses, and Cry. Flash Before Your Eyes is what Tommy and Styx tried to accomplish with the Brave New World Reprise. The song All Thats Yet To Come shows what a truly GREAT singer Glen is.

This CD is a cross between REALLY REALLY good Styx,Don Henley, Bon Jovi, The knack, and Eminen(M&M). The songs ALL have well thought out EDGY in your face lyrics, and are delivered to you HEAD ON. The way Bam leads into Kiss Your Ass Goodbye will blow you away.

Throw ALL the Styx bullshit away, and purchase this CD. Superboy and Bam are really really important songs in regard to dealing with the rise to fame, and fortune and how age hammers us all, espically the 'superstar'. I wonder if this was going through Glens mind doing all those Styx shows from 1999-2003. Justin Timberlake beware!!!!!!!

I may be the only one to purchase this gem, but I have NEVER been soooo blown away by an album.

Purchase it!!!. Its damn near impossible to get past Superboy, The 101( intro), Welcome To Hollywood, Another, and Bam. The songs are sooo good you will keep starting the CD over.

P.S. The bonus DVD video is also REALLY REALLY well done!!!

I agree. Burtnik has always been a best kept secret. This guy, for whatever reason, has never received the breaks he deserves. He's had to, I suppose to stay afloat, support acts such as John Waite, Patti Smythe, Neal Schon and Styx, as a writer/backup musician. But on this new solo album, Burtnik once again shows those aware enough to be aware of him, that he continues to outdo himself and everyone he has worked with. He is simply an underrated, unrecognized, unsung rock hero. I got the album and I think it's better than Cyclorama anyday.

“Superboy” rocks HARD. When I first sat down to take in the CD, it was hard to move on to track two, I was so floored. The title track is strong, more about the lyric than the power. But Track 3, “Another” is the powerhouse powerballad. It's mystical, romantic and packs a wallop unlike anything since Journey’s “Open Arms”. “Bam” sounds to me like how the Beatles would probably sound if they were around today, and in their thirties. “Roses” sounds like a hit record. “Cry” is another standout on the album. This is as good as it gets. The last song on the cd is called “The Muse and it is gorgeous.
Unlike most other new cds by other AOR/Melodic Rock/Classic rock type bands, “Welcome To Hollywood” is as contemporary as it is timeless. Judging from the rest of Burtnik’s career, this will probably go down unnoticed. But it is a classic every bit as powerful as your favorite.
Too bad he's no longer in Styx.
