DENNIS DEYOUNG ON STYXWORLD/FAMILY GUY

I just read this on the message boards (General Discussion) at Styxworld. In a recent episode of Family Guy( I have NEVER seen the show) a caller called the radio station praising the work of the band Kiss. Another caller then called and said Kiss sucks. The announcer then asks is that you Dennis, Dennis Deyoung of Styx. The voice says ya its me Dennis. The announcer than cuts him off and says over the air if he calls again he will come over and kick his Come Sail Away ass.

Three different posters wrote about this and said how funny it was. None can figure out why they used Dennis Deyoung. They all said the voice playing Dennis sounded nothing like him. Anyway, they all said it was really funny.

Actually, contrary to popular belief, while most at StyxWorld support the current lineup enthusiasticall, they also support the work of Dennis. Most have great respect for Dennis.

Yogi, I've seen this episode quite a few times on Cartoon Network (Adult Swim) at night. The first time I saw it I had to play it back to see if I heard it correctly - LOL No, it's not really Dennis himself on there, but it really was the band Kiss on there. Throughout different episodes of Family Guy and even the Simpsons, they mention different bands and artists, good, bad, funny and not funny. I'm actually a fan of the Family Guy and I'm glad that it'll be back.

When Fox aired this on 8/18/04 for their amily Guy mini-marathon, they censored out the nudist's rear ends and the word "dump" when Brian says, "You wanna take a dump in Mother Maggie's shoes?". Cartoon Network's Adult Swim left it alone.
