Yes Froy I'll be there. From what I read on a few other boards there will be pretty many Styx fans there, Classic Styx and Carrot Styx fans.

Our film crew will be filming there. We already filmed one of their concerts earlier this year and we're going to interview a few members of the band and also fans. We'll be interviewing the die-hard Styx fans and talk about the music of Styx, old and new.

Sadie are you going?

You never know who might show up that night

I saw them a couple of years ago, just after Cyclorama came out. They are a great tribute band. They played Waiting for Our Time and a lot of classics. the intro music was Palm of Your Hand and Cartman singing Come Sail Away.

The band is actually called Rhythm Method. They play a lot of STYX in their set. So much in fact that people requested an all STYX show. So they add one member and go out as Light Up doing only STYX covers.

Whats the guys name that sounds like DDY?? Does anyone sound like Tommy or JY??? How many lead singers do they have?? For Froy only, Do they have anyone who sounds like Glen or Lawerence???????????????

Seriously, Is Dennis going to be adding any dates soon?? Is there only going to be one show with John Waite?? I sure wish he would hook up with Glen or someone like Rik Emmitt.

Yogi,

I don't think DDY would hook up with Glen. Glen was fairly critical of DDY when he rejoined the band. Although, he is becoming more critical of JY and Tommy the further removed he is from Styx.

Reading some of Glens posts on his website I TOTALLY agree with you that he is critical of JY, but he REALLY seems way more critical of Tommy. He PRAISES Todd, and has never really said much about Lawerence or Chuck.

I believe his problem with Dennis stems from there being no album after Edge of The Century, and the loss of Styx's A&M recording contract. I think he blamed Dennis for that. Personally, I believe Glen does realize how much more freedom he had with a Dennis led Styx as opposed to a Tommy led Styx. He may not want to play in the same band as Dennis, but I dont see him opposed to a 1 hour set warming up Dennis if the price was right. Since both have stated they dont want to be on the road so often, the glove seems to fit here.

Finally I found it real hard to believe that no current member from Styx attended Glen's Christmas fundraiser last year. It was right after he left Styx, and it was said all was well with his leaving. BULL!!!!

How about Welcome To Hollywood?? What a TRULY GREAT CD!!!!!!!!

It has been a long time since I saw them. But as I recall, they played for 4 hours with a couple of breaks. They played material from Equinox to Cyclorama. They played all the hits. I recall that Lights was particularly well received. They are very talented musicians and everyone in the band sings. They all have those chameleon type of voices that suit any kind of music.

The answer to that is definitely "yes." "Soon" ? Not sure about that part. As to who might be on the bill with him, that will remain to be seen.

He will be doing more concerts and you know someone will post it here when he announces the places and dates.

Yogi,

I was at the xtravaganza last year and was surprised also. But consensus was that they wanted to make a clean break and not give into any rumors about this being just a hiatus with Glen. They both felt they needed to make his departure solid so Ricky was able to get his impression on the band. At least at the time, it didn't appear that there was any animosity between members in the band and Glen.

As a side note: These were the Styx Thank Yous on WTH. Read into them what you want....

Todd Sucherman, perhaps the finest drummer I’ve worked with, for teaching and friendship,

James “JY” Young, for encouragement and friendship,

Tommy Shaw for the employment opportunities,

Gary Loizzo, for listening and advising,

Keith Marks, for support and friendship,

I can't find the setlist for the last "Light Up" show, but here is a few that I remember. I know they sometimes change the songs from show to show.

Lady
The Grand Illusion
Too Much Time on My Hands
Suite Madame Blue
Mademoiselle - LOVE this song LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crystal Ball
Babe (Yes, Babe)
Lorelei
The Best of Times
Miss America - the drummer sings
Don't Let It End
Lights
Come Sail Away
Show Me The Way - with the Gulf War Intro
Fooling Yourself
Blue Collar Man - yes, you can hear it again - LOL
Rockin' The Paradise
and one of the songs from the Carrot Styx album, I don't know the name. It sounds like the song "Winter's Call" by the band Badlands.

I agree with kansas  , "Lights" was VERY well received at all the shows.

The lead singer (to me) sounds a lot like Dennis, but yet sounds like Tommy on the Tommy songs. His name is Bobby Rouse.

Yes, Dennis will be adding dates, hopefully soon. He will be double-billed with a few other people and other shows will be solo.

Does anybody like Supertramp or the lead singer Roger Hodgson's music?

I don't think DDY would hook up with Glen.

I doubt it too, but "Never Say Never"

The Brat Stop is in Kenosha which is located "somewhat" between Milwaukee and Chicago, close to the Wisconsin/Illinois border. They will also be playing in Waukesha in December.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rik Emmett!! I miss his music. I hope he comes to town soon

Froy, I hope to see you in December :)

Froy, I hope to make it to the show on Saturday. Did you hear that they'll be playing every song from the Grand Illusion? They'll be playing 2 sets. It's going to be great to hear "Castle Walls" live again :)

If I go, I'll be in the front wearing my black Dennis concert shirt with a black blouse. I don't know what color my hair will be - LOL It's either going to be blonde/light brown or blonde. Like a typical woman, that's me, I just can't decide - LOL

Will the keyboard player use his keyboards as a springboard to launch himself into the audience???? Will bras and panties be thrown up on stage??????? Will they perform any songs from Cyclorama, if so will Froy walk out????? Will any JY led songs be sung?????? I cant wait to hear the answers to these perplexing questions!!!!!!!!!

Froy will be wearing his 'Dennis Saves'T shirt, and Roboto mask!!!!!!!!!

Well I do know the last time I saw them perform, they did include Waiting For Our Time, they did do Miss America. I'm betting they pass on IATW. And as for what Froy will be wearing, only he knows. LOL. All in good fun.

Peace,

Sadie
