OT - Bands Reuniting

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Tue Nov 09, 2004 2:58 am

Yes, this is OT, OFF TOPIC. Yes, it has nothing to do with Styx.

Here's a list of band's that are "rumored" to be reuniting for a 2005 tour:

Motley Crue (Farewell tour)
Accept (confirmed on official website - Germany tour for sure)
Pink Floyd - just heard this one, don't know if the 2 guys patched up their differences. UK tour only? Who knows.

The Floyd rumor pops up every now and then, but that divide is ( in my opinion ) even wider than the river Styx.....

It would be a little less improbable that post 1986 PF could tour again, but everything I've read suggests David Gilmour just doesn't have that fire in his belly anymore.....nothing to prove, and plenty of money in the bank.

I'm looking forward to the release of the PULSE DVD of the 1994 tour.....it's been in the works for years, and pushed back several times, looks like February 2005 may be the release date.

Incidently, a tribute band called "Australian Pink Floyd" is swinging through the midwest next week.....playing a 2,200 seat house here next Tuesday.

Classic, I'm not a big fan of Pink Floyd (or the Beatles-LOL). I was thinking about seeing the Australian Pink Floyd in Milwaukee next week. I just checked and there are a few good seats left. I read their forums and it sounds like an excellent show.

I didn't hear the rumors in the past before.
