Over and over it has been written here that Gowan cant sing. He has been compared to: munchkins( we represent the lolipop guild), the lead singer for the Wayouts( Flintstones ), Vince Neil, Freddie Mercury, and I believe he sounds just like Geddy Lee of Rush. His vocals on More Love For The Money, and I am The Walrus are VERY VERY Beatlesque.

He sure may not be DDY, but he IS in some pretty good company vocal wise if you look at the comparsions!!!!!!!

Yeah, those Munchkins sure would have had a great career as rock musicians they were years ahead of their own time !

Seriously though, with all due respect to my cyber friend ek, with whom I agree the vast majority of the time, the Freddie Mercury comparison was absurd ! Freddies voice does not have that strained tonality that defines Gowans sound....

Geddy Lee is closer tone wise, but has a range that puts Gowans to shame! While I dont feel Gowan measures up to either of these examples, and especially not to Dennis vocally, he's got decent voice for Rock, it just doesnt measure up to the 3 others mentioned here. No shame in that, he just should avoid singin Old Styx Rush , and Queen songs so he isnt compared to such legends of Rock and Roll.

Sorry guys, he just isnt in that League !

Gowan sings Rush and Queen.I never heard any of those.Which ones were that?

Naw, Gowan doesnt sing songs by either of those groups, at least that I've heard, but his voice has been compard to Freddie Mercury's and Geddy Lee's in other threads here....

I'd like to hear him take a stab at Temples of Syrinx though....that would be a real hoot !
