On another board:

http://www.963kklz.com/

The band is now recieving strong airplay on Q104.3 in New York and the track is on over 150 stations nationwide. They have entered the studio to record a CD of some of their own favorite classic tracks such as "I Don't Need No Doctor", "Locomotive Breath", "I Can See For Miles", and the 2005 bluesy version of "Blue Collar Man" to name a few. The CD will be released sometime in March and the Walrus single is now available through I-TUNES for downloading.

And who didn't think they would include another version of Blue Collar Man

Peace,

Sadie

I am The Walrus is no longer in the top 100 rock songs sold on iTunes music store .. it was 26 when I checked about 5 days after it came out.

Duality by Slipknot is #100...... and that was on an album released back in May.

This is the 2120 sessions of BCM they recorded almost a year ago.

The albume was supposed to be an EP focusing on the 2120 recordings but has been expanded to add the cover tunes.

Read this at the above link. I guess I have no idea what the Mediabase Heritage Rock Chart is, but I have perused the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart from time to time.

Check out the Video for the Styx single "I Am The Walrus" which is presently #2 on the Mediabase Heritage Rock Chart and debuts on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart at #29.

More info on the song list...(off another board)

The tracklisting for the Styx covers album is taking shape. In addition to their hit remake of the Beatles' "I Am The Walrus," the band is recording the Who's "I Can See For Miles," Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath," and "I Don't Need No Doctor," which Humble Pie made one of their signature tunes, according to melodicrock.com. Singer-guitarist James "J.Y." Young previously told LAUNCH that it will also have versions of Jimi Hendrix' "Manic Depression," Donovan's "Cosmic Wheels" -- which might be the album's title -- tracks from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and a bluesy version of Styx's own 1978 hit "Blue Collar Man," which they started working on at Chess Studios in Chicago last spring. The album will likely be out in March or April.

Personally speaking, I've never listened much to any of the cover songs listed, so I suppose that's a good thing. (I'd especially be hard pressed to sing a few bars of Locomotive Breath :D ) Even so, I'd still prefer an album of new music, but I'll keep an open mind.
