Carrot Styx 2005 Tour Dates

Postby SuiteMadameBlue » Sat Jan 15, 2005 9:26 am

Does anyone on this board want me to post the Carrot Styx tour dates when I receive them? Would anyone like any updates on the current line-up?

Just thought I'd be nice and ask. I'll keep posting Dennis' information when I receive it.

I hope you all have a GREAT weekend :)

Yes, I am. Tonight is bowling, yes I bowl - LOL Tomorrow I'm going to be home hibernating and copying a load of cd's and going through my pictures.

If I owe anyone anything, you all know who you are (LOL), it'll be coming this week.

This is the best site for Styx dates. Kathie has the best sources somehow. And she usually has dates as they break.

She doesn't post Dennis' dates, but she verifies all of her US dates with the box office before she posts so it is good info. She also verifies the overseas dates as best she can.

I wish they would play my airport lobby it would be cool to see them in such surroundings, the only problem being as they are getting near the end of Snowblind the woman on the tannoy would say.
The White line is for loading and unloading only. No parking on the white line.

They played an airport in Columbus, NE a couple of summers ago. Great show, billed as Rocking the Runway (which is where they played, not the lobby  ).

Wait! Wait! Just HOLD on a MINUTE! Styx...is...playing... an AIRPORT????

Huh?????????????????????????????????????

No. That is a joke, right?? Please tell me that is a joke!

Well if this truly is for real, I think they could set up on the revolving luggage carousels and they would automatically have a moving "stage-in-the-round."

Found this on another site about the airport show.

A concert featuring .38 Special, REO Speedwagon and Styx is coming to the Martin Johnson Airport Chanute,Kansas for an estimated five-hour show on Sunday, July 3, 2005.

I dont care where they play and neither do they. They are enjoying what they do. Only musicians with ego,s too big for their asses only insist on playing stadiums.

Give me a show at a 1000 seat club over a 20,000 seat arena anyday.

1) You can see
2) The sounds better
3)The atnosphere is better
4)The beer is normally less expensive
5)You dont miss half the show lining up for a pee

I have a 2 hour video of a show on the Edge Of The Century tour at an arena where the stage was so far near the front of the arena it was nearly in the parking lot. There must of been 2,000 in a 20,000 seat venue. Would of been far better at a small intimate club.

Here you go, yogi, Carrot Styx dates back at the top of your message board.

Well if this truly is for real, I think they could set up on the revolving luggage carousels and they would automatically have a moving "stage-in-the-round."

Even worse, the airport in Columbus is so small that there are no revolving carousels  Oh well, I'm still glad they came!

ADAM: Dude, face it, we've discussed this already. Six years of non-stop touring does not = a burial.

Duh.
