Okay, moving away from all the recent inane posts...to one of my own

Which video made by Styx, past or present do you think was the best showcase of the band's talents and why?

Show Me The Way was an AWESOME video, and their best.

I also really enjoyed the videos for Love is The Ritual, Heavy Metal Poisoning, Havent We Been Here Before, and I REALLY do like their Walrus video.

The songs that best showcase their talents are:Lady, Born For Adventure, Suite Madame Blue, Come Sail Away,Fooling Yourself, Renegade,Snowblind, These Are The Times, and One With Everything

Thanks for the change of subject, Sadie.

That's a toughie since so many of Styx' great songs were simply promo videos of them performing (and, unfortunately, lip synching) the music onstage.
Of those, I think Rockin' the Paradise might be the best. Too Much Time on My Hands was a clever one and at least had some funny additions to the stage performances.

Concept videos? I agree with Yogi. Show me the Way was really, really a nice video. Beatifully filmed with a nice concept supporting the band and the song.

I like all the videos for various reasons. I think my favorite has to be "Too Much Time on My Hands". It was the beginning of MTV and I used to watch it all the time. I always looked forward to that video because you could see the guys in Styx. It was a fun video to watch with all the band members.

I want my MTV!! I really miss all the videos that they used to play. I wish I could have VH1 Classic, bummer.

I'm so glad to have most of the videos on vhs or dvd.

EK88, didn't you go out and buy the Styx videos dvd? It's at a good price and it's great to see the videos again.

The best part of early 80's videos was their simplicity and their emphasis on the music. Today its emphasis is on the movie production budgets for the 4 minute short.
