Part One: “JUST SAY NO”
FROY: Im a class act and I smoked pot whats your point ?
ADAM: Okay. I think I see Froy’s point. Tommy is a recovered addict and DeYoung’s into drugs but DeYoung is a “class act” and Tommy isn’t.

Part Two: “THE METROSEXUAL VS THE POTHEAD STUCK IN THE 80s”
FROY: You started the silly argument
ADAM: BZZZ!!!!! WRONG AGAIN! The topic of looking “grunge” versus what is “class” was started by someone else on this board, not I…For 100 points, can anyone remember who?

(Please remember, fellow board readers, my point about fans taking on the characteristics of their heroes, and how therefore Froy continually gives DeYoung a bad reputation.)

Part Three: “TELL ME WHAT HE SAY?”
ADAM: After Froy criticizes Ricky & Tommy’s current fashion choices, I point out how ridiculous I thought DeYoung looked on RTP (“a cross between a waiter and gondolier oarsman…Liberace/Barry Mannequin…in a PLATINUM WHITE AMMADEUS WIG” – you must admit, this is good stuff, people!).

FROY: Adam asking for exceptance so far no takers.

ADAM: I thought I understood English, but this one’s got me stumped. Can anyone please explain to me what the hell Froy means when he makes statements like this?

Could it be a challenge that suggests no one agrees with me, or sees the points I raise? If THAT’S it (I swear I’ve gotta guess when reading Froybonics), I think it’s fairly obvious I’m not completely off base here. The same is NOT so for Froy, I’m afraid…

Part Four: “THANK YOU ALL”
At this time I’d like to sincerely thank the pleasantries offered by ek88, Zan and Liz22562. We appreciate your appreciation. (sorry Liz, no autographs, please).

And since I’m reviewing the attitudes…I wholeheartedly agree with sadie65 when she writes “I would hate to see him (Dennis) back in the band…The band as it currently exists isn't a good mix for anyone of them to reunite.” Bravo! Some good sense!

Part Five: “MISCONCEIVED FROY”
Not to belabor a misconception, but as for songwriting, didn’t Todd co-write Cyclorama material? By the way Froy, there’s actual “rock” on that disc (I know you haven’t listened).

Part Six: “AND THE AWARD GOES TO…”
And finally, Zan clearly wins. We now know Froy’s dog’s name. Now THAT was funny. All the words and logic in the world could never beat THAT gem.

My name here (Yogi) was after our dog who we had for 14 years ( Alaskan Malamute/Yellow Lab mix). She was my wifes first Christmas present to me right after we got married.

When I moved here this fall, my family stayed behind in Uvalde. About a month after I was gone my wife said Yogi snapped at one of the neighbor kids. About 3 weeks later she bit our 2 year old son in the arm.

I had to go home and put her down. It was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. To this day its hard for me to believe she bit or snapped at anyone. Our kids and other kids used to hang on her all the time. I swear she didnt have a mean bone in her body. She used to howl at the moon whenever she heard a JY led song. What a GREAT GREAT dog she was.

Froy, I can just imangine how hard it will be for you to one day have to put down Chunks. Hang in there buddy!!!!!!

Froy,

As a long time dog lover and owner, I was very sorry to read that. It's never easy to lose a pet, but at least you didn't have to put yours down. I've been there, and it stinks.

I must say this thread has meanered from topic to topic and now we are here.

One of my favorite authors, James Herriot, wrote about how, when we share our lives with dogs that, sadly, we outlive them. (As Gr8 alluded to here). They must leave our lives and we do not want to let them go.

He was of a mind though, that for each part of your life you share with a dog, both your, and its, lives are enriched for that time. Thus, he felt it was important that, when you lost your beloved companion, to always get another. And not necessarily the same type of dog, but one that can share you life in a special way all its own.
He felt that a person who was willing to love a dog so much needed to share that love again, and let another dog be the beneficiary of it.

I know when my two doggies pass on (and already they are in middle age!), I will certainly get another one (or more) to be a special part of my life.

So sorry about Peaches, Froy. There is another doggie out there, wagging its tail, and waiting for you to ask it to come into your life.

Wonderfully said, Bugsy. I'm a cat person by nature (currently the servant of 3 cats and 2 dogs), but I can empathize with everyone's sentiment, as I have loved and lost both special dogs and cats throughout the course of my life. There was my cat Clyde, who was without doubt, the kindest, most special animal I've ever had. We grew up together - I was 11 when we got him, and I was 22 when he developed cancer and we had to put him down. I remember the day we took him in, he was unusually energetic and full of curiousity and life, unlike the several months leading up to it. Almost as if something in him knew it was going to be his last day on Earth.

Then there was my grandmother's dog, Nikki, an Alaskan malamute husky, who wandered into her yard at 10 weeks old and never left. I was 4 when we met met, I was 17 when he died. The most tolerant, lovable dog in the world. To this day, I still miss him greatly.

Though they are sad, these are some wonderful stories!

I am more a cat person myself, too, Zan. My best friend, Chelsea, a gorgeous British Blue had to leave me a few years back. I still miss her every single day.

My two current doggies, and one I just lost a few weeks ago (too painful to think about right now), were all foundlings who now live the life every dog dreams of on my country place.

Another classic thread from Yogi's Regeneration Volume1 'The Posts'.

Note on page 3 of this classic 'assembly line' Froy introduces us to 'Chunks'. Zan NOT Yogi comes up with her White Album line. Very sad at the end but still there is alot to be read here. A classic thread!!

Whoa! One dug up from the boneyard of posts past. Maybe not a good choice of words, but.... What is interesting is that I still have my two OLD doggies mentioned in 2005. Both turned 14 this year and still get around, as do I, fairly well.

I also have a new, rescued kitty who pretty much runs the joint around here, including two formerly cat-hating dogs.

This thread definitely meandered around a lot! (To correct my misspelling from 2005).
