As bad as I thought that song was then, I think it is even worse now. Dawn Marie makes a horrible song even worse when seeing it live.
It was a GREAT GREAT concert, but that one 'rockin' song along with regae version of Light Up were the low points of that concert.

No smoke no mirrors just some bad singing by Larry
Im not the only one who has said this .
He sucks end of story.I for one have no problem with the way LG sounds and especially like his work on Cyclorama.
And you are somebody we look up to ?
Not even a chance
I love that Show Me The way rippoff Fields of The Brave that was all over radio. Is there anyone who reads this board that has changed their preferences because of what Mr. Froy has been crying about?
Not at all everyone knew STYX sucked without Dennis 6 years ago
Nobody needs to change they suck even more now than they did 6 yeras agoFroy you have the right to your opinion just like the rest of us here and if you chose not to listen to anything Styx does without DDY that’s your choice.
Yes it is Never have never will.
Enjoy the old records. I am one of the lucky ones who can still look forward to a new Styx CD and appreciate the music for what it is,
Its a cover cd enjoy it,.I like the type and sound of Styx music and to me the new Styx songs are as good as and in some cases better then SOME of the old stuff.
Not even in a bad dream is this true,If DDY recorded something that I liked I would be happy to say so. I would really like to see that happen.Has anyone heard Ozzy’s new version of Mississippi Queen
Heard it yesterday on the loop it was terrible
Could not even tell it was OZZYI have read Styx has been filming promo spots for “Big Bang Theory”. I would expect we will see the same type of TV spots for Styx that are running for Joe Cocker.

SuiteMadameBlue wrote:I saw the "Edge" tour too. It just wasn't the same without Tommy during that tour for me and having someone else singing his songs. The harmonies I didn't mind, not at all, just the lead vocals. Just my opinion.
ChicagoSTYX wrote:Thank you for setting me straight Froy! I don’t know what I would do without you to tell me how to think and what is good and what isn’t. You’re a real winner!!! Thanks be to Froy. Amen!
ChicagoSTYX wrote:Froy, DDY would be ashamed of you if he knew you were not practicing his Kilroy principals! Have you listened to” High Time” or lately?
He's got answers to all my problems ….Froy
Says he'll decide what I should hear and see…..Froy
I try to change to another station
But all I get is more of his morality
Morality
But I see the kids of a new generation
And they won't stand for this mind control
They're gonna change this world we live in
They're gonna bring back the rock and roll
So if I can, I'm gonna break from this prison
Gonna get out and join in the fight
Take a chance on what I believe in
Win or lose, I know it's right
'Cause it's high time
For us to start a revolution
Just like A-bomb explosion….Big Bang Theory!!
It ain't the music that's in question
It's more the freedom of expression…… are you listening Froy?
Change is comin'
Froy Police are comin'
We're on the move
The Old World is crumblin'
A new day's comin'
Tell your friends and relations
We're on the move
We're gonna start a rockin' nation

For me it is the three part harmonies, the dueling rhythm and solo guitars, with a blend of keyboards or piano.
In regards to an album, it is the diversity of musical styles of the lead singers. And every song tells a story. Lastly virtually every song has a great solo/instrumental section in it.

Yes, it is. It's a rock song. It doesn't have to be loud for it to be rock. "Best of Times" is a ROCK song too. So is "Lady" and "Come Sail Away." "My God" is Broadway-esque with electric guitars.

Thanks Yogi for the set list during that tour. I wish I could remember it all - LOL

I can't add anything to this. I agree with what you said. To me the album that shows this all is "Grand Illusion".
