I didn't care for most of the songs to begin with. I gave the songs a few listens and in my opinion - ACK!!
I didn't think Blue Collar Man 2004 sounded "bluesy", it was so sloooooow, painfully sloooooooooooow.
The worse song and I hope that I never hear it again in my life was "It Don't Make Sense (You Can't Make Peace) sung by JY. Nothing against Mr. Dixon and his music, it's JY singing this, terrible!!!
To each his/her own......................

Froy, if you want to review this CD - get a copy from the record company or go out and buy it just like every other reviewer does. Just because you want an excuse to slam something doesn't mean that you should be able to do so via theivery.
Don't be a jerk, Froy - seek legitimate means - otherwise your opinion is worthless.

That does not mean he will like it but at least it will be done with an open mind. If I remember correctly Froy did say that he liked a couple of songs from Cyclorama.
SuiteMadameBlue wrote:Again, I didn't care for most of the songs chosen in the first place. I don't care who sings them.
Monker, This wasn't a review it was just my opinion of what I heard. If I were to do a review, I would've made remarks about each song and what I thought.

Everyone's going to have their own opinions about this cd, I just posted what I thought of 2 songs. Sheesh
Funny how those who despise something so much not only listen to what they hate, but SEEK IT OUT!

Suite, haven't you learned by now that the only opinions that count on this board are those of Monker and his fan following. At least in Monker's mind.
Note, I am lumping "them" all together, just has Monker has done for you and I quote:

It is not 'music' to froy...It's a cause.
No its just an excuse to keep touring .
Very easy to see,Everything from his petition to get Dennis back in Styx
Once again I know your slow but I did not start any petition.to his boycott of the band...
Are you kidding millions have boycotted the band ,It is one action following another to put an end to this Styx and prop up Dennis in the process.
Styx is putting an end to itself with terrible ideas one after the other
Dennis is propping himself up with great shows like the Lost Treasures shows he does not need any help.If you think for one moment that he wants to review this CD to give a non-biased opinion, you are living in a fantasy.

Which means that to you it's not about the music.Once again I know your slow but I did not start any petition.
correct, I doubt you would know how. But, you took it under your wing and promoted it on alt.music.journey, and where ever else, as if there were 10,000 people who would sign it and you alone could find them. How many did you get? Did you even reach 1000?to his boycott of the band...
Are you kidding millions have boycotted the band ,
No, that is your dillusion. There are probably less then 1000 people who are actively 'boycotting' Styx.Styx is putting an end to itself with terrible ideas one after the other
Styx is carrying on, dispite what you wish.Dennis is propping himself up with great shows like the Lost Treasures shows he does not need any help.
Dennis is also carrying on...But, I wouldn't say he is propping himself up. Unless he uses a cane nowadays. It takes people like you to prop him up...YOU feel the need, I doubt that Dennis does. Are you ever going to stop thinking for other people
Hmmm, if that is what you call it, then NO, I'm not.You have no idea what my review is going to be.
Sure I do. You'll trash song after song saying that the original was better and Styx brought nothing new to the song, and then add that they would have never done this if Dennis was still in the band...go see Dennis and boycott this trash from Stynx. That's you, Froy. It's been you for seven years.I did say I liked One With Everything off Ramit

Exactly how can it be about the music there copying other people...
Styx is putting an end to itself with terrible ideas one after the other

Carrying on what other peoples music
Thats a winner ,Are you ever going to stop thinking for other people
Hmmm, if that is what you call it, then NO, I'm not.
The truth is that I think most of the people on this forum are pretty dern smart.

I would sure like to know who sings lead on which songs. Is the CD dominated by Tommy, or do JY and Lawerence get their fair share of lead vocals????
Monker,
If I remember correctly Froy gave props to One With Everything he called it a gem. Indirectly I thought he gave props to These Are the Times stating something like when Dennis might of heard it way back when the song might of not of been as good. He also kind of gave indirect props to Fields Of The Brave saying this song should be sent????( somewhere) something about the soldiers fighting( honoring them).
