Just curious what the breakdown is among posters here. . . . .

I haven't seen him yet, but plan to do so if he comes close enough.

ek,

I saw him once, in Rockford IL, January 04. I'd see him again, especially if I could catch this new Lost Treasures show....

You might want to inquire of those who answer "Yes" if they've seen him multiple times....I bet the majority of the "Yes-ers" have.

LOL, ya think? Just kidding.

Let's see I've seen him Milwaukee 2000, Chicago 2003, Chicago 2003 (Taste of Chicago), Milwaukee 2003 (Summerfest), Milwaukee 2003 (Milwaukee Theatre) Appleton 2004, Chicago 2004, New York City 2004, Milwaukee 2005, Green Bay 2005, Chicago 2005 and again this summer 1 or 2 more times.

I think I'm a fan :)

I am very late to this game, but I saw Dennis at the Milwaukee Theater in 2003, The Beacon Theater in 2004 and now at the House of Blues in 2005.

SURE wish he would head down Texas way again!

Hello all - I have not posted in over a year but I'm back . I just quit my high tech sales job (15 years) and started my own low tech carpet cleaning business. I am dealing with a seasonal slow down due to weather (I live in New Hampshire) and I currently have more time on my hands than I want (not even going to try a pun here). My fixation with Styx is due to my 13 year old daughter being a fan. Together we have seen Styx 3 times I also saw them in the 1978 Peices of Eight tour. I will say I am a bigger fan having seen them as an older act that still kicks ass and has great stage presence. I have not seen Dennis as a solo act and when I asked my daughter if she would like to see him she said no. I asked why "Dennis has a real good voice but he did all the gay Styx songs and I only like hard rock and power ballads and "sorry Dad" Rap and Hip Hop" ----I thought this was quite the sage comment comming from a kid.

By the way I do not want to lose the common ground we share as Styx fans but I really want to convince her that Rap is garbage. Am I just old and out of touch? Has anyone else given current Rap/Hip Hop a seriuose listen to? I set my radio to a Rap station and listened for more than a few mounths and with a few exceptions found this musical gener to be without talent . Any Thoughts...................

Like Classic, I saw DDY at the Rockford show in January, 04, I had second row seats...His show was pretty good despite intonations in his voice during the Grand Illusion due to a throat cold...Castle Walls and Hello God was (IMO) the highlights of the show....

HIP HOP is the worst thing ever to step foot in radio. Talk about lowest common denominator. Barf.

I've seen DeYoung a number of times:
2 times with Styx (RTP & EOTC tours)
11 times solo (2 times were band-only, the rest were with an orchestra)

I was also blessed enough to see the Nashville production of "Hunchback", but missed him in "Jesus Christ Superstar" (I saw the show but he'd left the tour to go back in studio).

Guess this qualifies me as obsessed!

BTW, I most definitely agree that "Rap is CRAP"! Even my teenagers say that it doesn't qualify as music!

Noooooooo, you're not obsessed - LOL

I'm hoping to see a few more Dennis shows in the summer. I'll have to see who can go on the road trips :)

As for Rap music, ACK, can't stand it. Yes, Rap is Crap!!
