Adam..... I live in Nashville. Everyone and their fuckin MOM plays the Ryman Auditorium...... it's typically where people play when they can't fill the Municipal Auditorium or the Gaylord Entertainment Center (which I did the web site for - your tidbit for the day).

The Ryman has 2,362 seats. The Municipal Auditorium has about 8,000... The arena has 16,000.

LOL, you're so funny.

I ordered it the day it went on pre-order from his new website. I even ordered a t-shirt with it. I just received an email that it's on it's way. Yes, I'll have to change my tag-line at the bottom.

I'll be wearing my Rob Thomas t-shirt with my along with my Styx pins and my new DDY tour jacket :) I wish I was back in high school again.

I understand. Which is historically RICHEST? You must be another one of these bean-counting fans. I was commenting on some of the opportunities the present band has taken advantage of that they very well might NOT have, were DDY still calling the shots.

Me? I'd rather catch an act in a smaller room than an arena myself. And give me a place with some HISTORIC VALUE over a hockey rink anywhere, anytime, anyday of the week.

I've been there... far too in the back pocket of Jan Wenner. They ignore much of the music I love.

And another thing... my name is not taken from a Bon Jovi song... it's a Kiss song written in 1982. Thank you.

You're kidding, right?

That song is beyond bad. C'mon dude. There are a few decent things on Cyclorama... that ain't one of them.

Zan... I love ya and respect your opinion. But please don't make the leap that ANYONE was "lucky" or somehow benefited when they shouldn't have because of a war. I'm sure if you talk to DDY he would say that he'd have preferred that war not be necessary than to have his song be a hit because of it.

I do understand the point you are making - I just think it's not right to talk about how lucky someone is because they benefited from a war.

Awe...you love me! That rocks. Yes, the point you understood was exactly correct, not that anyone actually benefits from war...well, except maybe the Bush family, but that's a topic for my other Styxboard. ;-)

I was trying to say that had that war never happened, Denny's last hit would probably have been "Don't Let it End."

The whiny contingency that can't put together a coherant thought that doesn't involve how wonderful Dennis is and how much life sucks without him in the band. FWIW, I don't really consider you one of them...like you care what I think. LOL

Don't let other people ruin your fun. Go and have a good time. Just like you'd want me to go and enjoy myself if I had been able to see Styx in Nashville.

I really wish everyone could just chill out.

I'm sure you've taken quite a bit of pipe in your day Zanny. Did you nail that guy with the mustache in your lounge band yet?

I disagree....

I seem to remember that that song was playing on the radio before that war started which was in early 1991...After Desert Storm was announced came the presidential recordings of his "State Of The Union Address" mixed into the song...But with or without the War the song still Charted and still was a hit....

All kidding aside, the comments made here have degenerated into totally vulgar, crude, uncalled for idiocy. I hope it stops, but I fear it will only continue... :(

It was on the radio prior to Desert Storm, however the song did get a tremendous lift from the "mix". I seem to recall reading somewhere that originally Dennis didn't want the song used with the "mix". I will have to go see if I can find the article in which that is discussed.
