I can't say for sure that he is doing a full tour, however I am pretty confident he will have more dates lines up this summer.

Saw a message from his bassist (sp?) Hank Horton on another site; he indicated they would be adding more dates to the DeYoung website. Guess we'll just have to keep checking it.

Oh yeah, more dates coming soon!!! :D

I'm hoping there will be a concert close to my area on a hopefully hot summer night. With beautiful Lake Michigan as the back drop and hearing "Pieces of Eight" with the symphony. I can just hear the beautiful music now. Oh and I hope that tickets will be reasonable so I can bring my whole family

Hank also said that they played "Harry's Hands" in St. Louis. GREAT song!!

He stopped doing Harry's Hands after 2000. It's one of my favorites of his, so I hope he keeps it in. It's nice to include some more of his solo work. Just my opinion of course.

Then he shouldn't bill his concerts as Dennis DeYoung performing the Music of STYX.

You're cute. So the majority of songs he performs, which were/are Styx tunes (anyone want to get into that whole debate again over the rights to call songs performed 'Styx' Songs...OY), what should call it? As much as you try Dave, you have to come up with better attempts than this one.

It's a good thing then, that when he includes that song, he has a guest vocalist perform it. Me, I like it, but then, I realize, it's not for everybody.

Why is that a good thing? The song is lame enough, the "guest" vocalist makes it unbearable.

Because while I like how Dennis sings, I think it is done better by either Mike Eldred or Amick Byram. And for me, it isn't unbearable at all. Not say, like listening to JY scream out Miss America

I'll give ya Mike because he was awesome. This new guys is good too, but I want to Dennis sing, not somebody else.

The fact that you dislike Miss America makes things so much more clear now. LOL ;-)

While I think Esmerelda, sung by Dennis (and ONLY by Dennis), is a beautiful song, it does not belong in his concerts as they are currently being performed.

My guess is, Dave, he will add "the music of Dennis DeYoung and Styx" at a future time, or are those one and the same?? 8)

Hopefully he will have nice sized audiences come and appreciate ALL the music he performs. I am one who would love to see a few solo songs added, Harry's Hands being one of them, Don't Wait For Heroes being another.

Those of you who do NOT like his show, for chrissakes stay HOME! Go see the Cover Boys and praise them to the skies. Bellyaching about what Dennis does, or does not, perform it his shows is SO lame!!!

I enjoy all of Dennis' music, I'm so happy when I hear the songs that he wrote, co-wrote and performs :D

You never know what "extra" song surprise you're going to hear at a Dennis concert. In NYC he added "First Time" and "Hello God" on the spot, I heard the band didn't even know what to do - LOL

As for "Miss America" ACK! I always have to skip that song, just my opinion. The only JY song that I can listen to is "You Need Love". I think his singing voice changed so much, he has a more rougher and angry voice.

Sadie,

I have it from a pretty good source that Dennis is trying to get the rights to re master and then re release Equinox, The Grand Illusion & Cornerstone. If a US court allows this to happen, off of Equinox, Midnight Ride will be replaced by Dawn Marie rendition of Paradise. On The Grand Illusion Miss America will be replaced by Esmeralda, and Eddie will be replaced by a Love Foretold.

Dennis will also include a special DVD for these CD's. The CD will be an instructional ' how to dance braless' performed by his sister in law.

Good news for some, bad for others!!!!!!!!!!

You are not going to see ME at a "new lineup" show for sure. And I hope those who feel as I do stay away as well. What would be the point?

Oh yeah.....which lineup would that be? All of them? Fine.

I like Miss America as it was recorded on Grand Illusion. Live it does nothing for me.

My favorite JY song is is most often overlooked .... "Eddie".... it really is a great song. It would be an incredible song live too... even if done by nuStyx.

Esmerelda would be a sleeper at a concert... With Every Heartbeat is an incredible song tho and is majestic live I can imagine... esp if Eldred is on vocals (male part)

I love the song "A Love Foretold". It's a very nice romantic song. We even played it at work a few weeks ago and all the ladies enjoyed it :)

The drummer from the Styx Tribute band "Light Up" sings "Miss America" pretty good.

Yogi says:

Um, I'll have to pass on this part, I'm sure my husband would enjoy it. I framed a picture that I took of him and Dawn Marie that he keeps at his computer. Hey, maybe that's why he goes to Dennis' concerts with me, all this time I thought it was for the music, OY!

Yogi, any visual ideas on a DVD for us girls out here?

Yep, I'm there with you. I'm glad he occasionally does a different song in concert.

My favorite JY song is is most often overlooked .... "Eddie".... it really is a great song. It would be an incredible song live too... even if done by nuStyx.

It's actually a fairly decent song. Not that anyone's asking my opinion.

Esmerelda would be a sleeper at a concert... With Every Heartbeat is an incredible song tho and is majestic live I can imagine... esp if Eldred is on vocals (male part)

Esmerelda does slow the show down, however I think it's there for a break. With Every Heartbeat is normally a big crowd pleaser. Perhaps one day you'll get to hear it live.

And, sorry, I think I am with Ash on Eddie vs. A Love Foretold...Eddie wins. Love Foretold, not so hot for me.
