I have 2 tickets to see STYX and I did not spend 1 cent
I guess if they keep giving away tickets this can go on forever ,

When Dennis plays for free in Chicago because he can't even sell out the Vic theater then you can talk to me about free concerts
The Vic is only 2000 seats and last time your hero's could not even sell out in there home town. Thats a disaster my friend

As for FREE shows, I LOVE them. I don't care who's playing.

Dennis played Summerfest in 2003, it was at a stage for FREE and it was a GREAT concert. Carrot Styx plays at Summerfest too for FREE, they played last year and this year. You just have to pay for admission to get in the festival and most of the time you can get FREE passes. If I'm not mistaken, when Dennis was with Styx they used to play Summerfest at the FREE stages since the 1970's, except when they were in their "hey-day".

Many bands who are out of their "hey-day" play at many of these festivals. That's GREAT, especially for fans like me that enjoy waiting 5-7 hours in the front row to see a performer or group that I enjoy seeing/hearing. It's a huge win situation for me

Enjoy both sides while you can, we're not all getting younger, either are any of these guys.

She had a band( or was in one) and I believe I told her all she did was play the bongos like Fonzie did in Richie, Ralph & Potsie's band.
