System Of A Down's "Mezmerize".

If you like heavy stuff with melody... this is an incredible album.

This will be HUGE this summer. Write it down.

Harem Scarem's Overload is also a very good record. I ordered it from NEH records and it was in my mailbox yesterday.

Collective Soul's Youth, a return to the guitar power of their early days.

Are we talking last year? I can't call this year yet, it's too early.

Last year? American Idiot. Awesome recording, especially the title track.

The best album from last year for me was a toss up between Velvet Revolvers' "Contraband" and "Permission to Land" by The Darkness.

No we're talking this year... you ain't gonna beat "Mezmerize"... unless their album "Hypnotize" which comes out in the fall beats it.

"Youth" is good... but it's not in the league of SOAD.

The best album selling or Grammy bound this year would have to be:

"Something to Be" by Rob Thomas

Nice eye candy too

Have to go with the Velvet Revolver - Contraband. That's a great album!
Whatever happened to good ol' rock and roll?

System Of A Down's "Mezmerize".

Just had to post this info from the latest Entertainment Weekly issue devoted to music:

"Neil Diamond - The stadium-friendly star goes intimate thanks to producer Rick Rubin, who split time between the singer and System of a Down this spring. 'I think he used my album as a refuge, ' laughs Diamond."

Refuge? Hell Rick Rubin has produced far more agressive bands than System of a Down. Rick's "the" go-to producer for modern day heavy metal.... he also produced Slipknot's Volume III last year..... very good producer... Styx should consider him for their next record... seriously

Rubin is known for producing Slayer.

Rubin wouldn't go near this incarnation of Styx.

Actually I've been kinda disapointed by the Audioslave album, I've hd it for a few days now (my Wal-Mart started selling it this weekend) and after 3 years, I expected something that would hook me a bit faster, some of it's starting to grow on me, but it sounds alot liek they just stripped down the first one.

The new Audioslave has some good stuff on it but it's no where near is good as their first album.

Kind of a let down.

Rubin surely wouldn't go near the guy that did 10 On Broadway either. He does hot, young, aggressive, heavy bands.

Like Neil Diamond, you nitwit?

Rubin wouldn't go near "Styx" because he doesn't work with washed up bands that are a shadow of their former selves.
