as the audience/hecklers at the Rocky Horror Picture Show often say:

" oh no! not Meatloaf AGAIN !!!!! "

Ironically, my wife is playing her Bat Out Of Hell CD in the next room.

Speaking of hurricane party, there was different one going on down in in Ocean Springs. But Tropical Storm Arlene, veried to the east (thankfully), and never got any stronger as it came ashore. So all I have had is a lot of rain and some wind. AND a lot of painting in the bathrooms.-ERIC

According to their website they were dropped for having no equpment or sound engineer.....to be replaced by melodic British rockers Double Cross.......who's guitarist emailed me and said we are rehearsing around the clock as we were not notified until the 11th hour...... good luck to them.

I was hoping DDY might have opened for Styx and was dissapointed when he wasnt.....nevermind.

As dysfunctional as it sounds, DDY/Styx would make for one heck of a show! DDY could join Styx for an encore of Come Sail Away! Now how cool would that be? (And weird at the same time).

Yes he could sing the "We Had Dreams Line"
But seriously it would never happen in a million years unless the stage was in the shape of a boxing ring and JY was in the other corner....imagine the band ever being given a slot in the rock & roll hall of fame.....the induction would be on an undercard at Ceasers Palace.

DDY is playing in the Car lots outside before Double Cross - one track only 'Babe' and I've heard he's got his cap on the floor so remember to throw a few coins in it! JY might cofiscate any money made due to the fact he's making money on the back of Styx.
Double Cross sound a bit like Asia.........is that right?

To be honest I have only heard 1 or 2 songs...very melodic ...yes touches of Asia/Dare ish.........good singer and very good musicians.

www.heavyharmonies.com has the Cd rated at 9.3/10 from people who have reviewed it.

A few people have said they also sound like Magnum, so that'll do me! Anyone remember that Magnum LP with the board game....can't remember the name of it as I dumped the LP about 8 years ago (Lack of space!) nothin' else.

Going back to Hurricane, how the hell can a band with such good reviews not have the equipment and a sound engineer............!

Talking of supporting bands, I saw 'Praying Mantis' back in the 80's supporting Def (On through the night tour)..............they still around?

Gotta get this one in> The Car lot attendants association in Glasgow have barred DDY for playing in the car lot.............as 'Babe I love you' will confuse the locals - they'll only move on this, if 'Babe' is changed to 'Doll' the common word for a loved one in Glasgow.
Arbitrators are standing by to negotiate terms with Dennis on Monday!
London has also requested Babe be changed to 'Sheila' due to the majority of car lot attendants being travelling Aussies.....whoops!
Manchester can't be arsed either way as they've got more problems dealing with an American take over of UTD, so to the mention the arrival of an American band and an unofficial American busker may send them over the edge!
That's me done on this!

Styxman,
I realize you are a newbie.... but let's not go there. Support this band as you see fit but no need to trash past band members. We have just got this BB back on track at being constructive again.

If you have something to offer then welcome, if you are here to trash DDY or any other past member, please find another forum.

Hope you choose to stay and be constructive.

Point taken, only having a bit of fun! I thought you'd see the lighter side of it.
I have every DDY solo project and they get played on a regular basis so I'm not in the business of trashing......honestly!
'Takin' About The Good Times' only in future...promise!

I guess it's the 4 days 2 go, I'm just a bit excited!!!!!

Tommy changed it to " James Young is Buying" during their today show
appearance, so maybe even he is tiring of that line.......

So many options he could alternate here.....

as long as...........

Gowan is Buying
Ricky is buying
( pointing to someone in audience ) He's ( She's ) the one buying

etc.

JY's been buying forever. That's the standard lyric in concert. It's supposed to be a joke. I actually heard Jy say once to that line that he'd been buying for fourtten years.

that and changing president for mayor of your fair city
