In addition to all the great acts that have been listed, I'd like to add, for an added diversity:
Peter Paul & Mary
Air Supply (ducking!)
EE

Live...I dig em. They put on a good show as they have enough recognizable and good songs to keep you interested. Enjoy!

Oh, I'm sure, especially since I have 4 out of 5 of their albums! LOL! (Huge Live fan). I've been wanting to catch them in concert for almost ten years but have never had the chance. Magically, I happened to walk in my front door right as they went on sale and got tenth row center! How friggin' awesome is that? woooohoooo...

I tell ya, I'd've felt the same way before I saw them this (last?) year. But, live, their music is nothing like the sappy stuff on their albums. They put on one high energy, rockin' show!

As for harmonies, I'm still amazed by some of their songs like "Sweet Dreams" & especially "Don't Be Afraid"!

I know, there's no accounting for taste!

I'm probably the only person on this forum who agrees with you. I'll see them again next week. It will be outside so I may try to get some good pictures. I took some at a concert a coujple weeks ago and they turned out pretty good.

10th row...nice. Now you can enjoy Ed up close. Last time I saw them he was very interactive with the audience.

Oh and while I'm at it - another good vocal duo even though I can only take a few songs before losing interest - Indigo Girls

Hall and Oates? Yay or nay? Definitely talented and successful, but how were their harmonies (I'm not terribly familiar with them)?

I am with you on that one, Soloud. They do have some nice harmonies, I must say.

Hall and Oates, to me, had sort of disjointed harmonies. They blended well, but I am not a fan of theirs much.

Lucky You! I know I would most definitely jump at the chance to see them again--especially if it's a full-length show!

I have no idea what to expect, but I know that I LOVE their music, and I think Ed is brilliant. The fact that he can pronounce his own last name is a feat in itself. I know I sure can't. LOL

Yeah, the show should be a couple hours long, from 7:00 to whenever. If I get good pics, I'll post a link.

Here is the best of what I got at the Sarah Darling concert...

Nice pictures and nice review, Monker. Sounds like a good time was had by all!

Do post the link to your pictures of Air Supply when they are posted.

I, for one, am always interested in everyone's concert experiences.

Granted, Queen did overdub their harmonies but the thing is they really didn't have to. They did it to give their music a much fuller, bombastic, over the top sound that demanded audience participation. Never mind the showmanship of DDY or Gowan -- there's no beating Freddie Mercury is the "Commanding The Audience" department. If Elvis had lived, even he would admire and envy Freddie! There'll never be another one like him in music... :D
