I LOVE "Band on The Run", one of my favorite songs. Did he do any other Wings songs? I would think he would change the setlist a little bit tonight, right?

in Detroit he played:
let me roll it
band on the run
live and let die
jet
i think that's it.

Thanks!! If I go Sunday, I hope he plays these songs. I love the songs from Wings. I could do without the Beatles music - JUST KIDDING!!!

Seems it was a bit easier back then, but could be I've just forgotten !

A sliver of the light of good musical taste has chosen to shine on you, at long last ! Paul written music has always been top shelf, at least everything for the 60's and 70's.......I never understood how you could like Wings, and not like at least the MCCartney written/sung Beatles tunes !
Give it little more time and we'll have you grooving to A day in the life, Tomorrow Never Knows, Taxman, and much more from the greatest Rock and Roll Band the world has ever known !
Sadie, your next !

I just hope you are at least greatful for them "hitting at the right time" because they influenced most of the amazing musicians of the last thirty years *including* Styx!
Okay, let me clear some of this up. It's not that I don't like the Beatles...there are several songs that I enjoy. That being said...I just think they hit at the right time. I myself think they are overrated. But then I can thinkg of several entertainers who are also overrated. So it's not hopeless. At least I'd like to think there is hope for me.
I am "grateful" that artists take influence where they can. I do understand that the Beatles were/are influential to a large variety of artists. That I feel they were overrated is a personal opinion. Lord knows there are plenty of artists that I feel are very underrated, but it doesn't change anything. I'm not looking to stir any trouble here.
Peace
I know for a fact that DDY happens to put these guys at the top of his list of infulence.

They for the most part found this band for themselves. If you want to talk overrated (IMO): Bob Dylan, Madonna, Michael Jackson, The Grateful Dead, and a hell of a lot of rock and roll hall fame inductees belong in that category. The Beatles deserve all the praise and accolades that they have ever received and more. The fact that Paul still absolutely puts on a tremendous show at his age now is truly amazing. I know for a fact that DDY happens to put these guys at the top of his list of infulence.
I just don't get the influence myself
