Classic, I have to agree with you about the Bears passing...It's not really that good, but there running game shows some promise....So far the Defense is Carrying the team...I'm not really worried about the playoffs since I know that they would get beat anyway...I think I will just watch one game at a time and wait for the Playoffs to happen....The next game is against the Steelers.... 8)

They didn't help the Vikings out one damn bit today either! I was even cheering for the Pack, kinda....well, ok not really. I just can't make myself do that. But I DID laugh at two more interceptions for Fav a ruh. Record breaking year, Brett...way to go!

Very funny signature DeeJay - LOL I couldn't wait to see it!!

OMG, TOO FUNNY, I watched the Sunday's game down in Illinois in a bar/restaurant that the Bears players go to - LOL I walked in with my Packers sweatshirt on and the fun started there. GREAT time, even though the Packers lost!!

Classic, Deano was hoping that you could've been there to watch the game with us! That was before he went to the hospital...... but he's okay now.

Say what you will, but that wasn't exactly one team dominating the other.......in fact, take away that Ill advised throw in the 4th quarter, and the oucome may have swung 14 points.

But the play did happen, and the better ( FOR THIS YEAR ANYWAYS ) team won........

Nonetheless, I stand with my head held high, as I am a fan of the Greatest Franchise in all of NFL History, The Green Bay Packers....even during times when we are re-tooling for our next Dynasty. Make no mistake about it, The PACK will be BACK !!!

It happened just as I predicted. I told you the Bears had the #1 defense. They returned one INT 95 yards and another for a TD. Favre was rattled all day. The Bears are winning games like the Ravens did in 2000. A TD on defense, a few FGs, and an offensive TD once in a while. When you have a D like the Bears do, you can win like that. And I knew the Packers offense was no threat. The NFC is soooooo weak that the Bears could win it. At least they are consistent, unlike Atlanta, Carolina, Dallas, NYG, etc.

Packers will fire their coach after the season and Favre will retire so he doesn't have to start over with a new coaching staff. Take that to the bank. There will be no dynasty in GB for a loooooong time. Can you say "REBUILDING"?

Actually no. He did however demonstrate the ability to feel no pain after breaking 4 bones in his hand. Seriously, he did get injured, however he will be fine. Perhaps he will let all of you sign his cast. But that's a seperate thread altogether.

Suite was a trooper in her green and gold. And while I am no fan of the Pack, I was unbelievably disappointed in the fans at the bar. Cheering an injury was completely out of line.

No, he wasn't running his mouth at all. Actually I was at the beginning of the game, but then I was quiet pretty much during the game -LOL Especially when the whole damn bar was singing some victory song and glancing right at me -LOL

He made friends with everyone where ever we went and he was just goofing around with some guys head butting (ouch, the sound) and also smacking fists and Dean was the biggest guy there. It was just an accident when he and this other guy slammed fists really, really, really hard. The sound was terrible, his hand looked terrible, it was just awful. I was right there when it happened. I'm so glad that he went to the hospital.

I'm with Suite on this. Dean was totally cool. He made the whole place laugh and literally worked a room like no one I'd seen before. I am so very glad I met him. Watching him clown around with the guys at the bar, and seeing him take that fist (hearing it from a good 15 feet away in a noisy bar)...that sound was horrid. But I will give the man his props...he finished his game and was more concerned with how the other guy was.

Take care Deano. The Prairie State and it's inhabitants hope to show you a better time next time.

I'm thinking they'll fire Sherman after the season. BUT I don't think Favre will retire. Who would want to retire from a crappy season? He'll keep going at least for another year.

How about Steve Mariucci as the Packers next coach? Do the Packers have a chance at Bush for the draft? LOL They just better not screw up the draft picks for next season!!!

Because in sports articles in the past couple of months it's been mentioned that if Sherman goes, he's speculated himself that he's not likely to stick around and regroup and relearn with someone new.

I know, I've read them. They keep talking about it in the news all the time, but I still don't think that he'll retire even if Sherman goes. How can he on such a lousy season? Wouldn't you want to leave on a high note?

All our top news stories here is about Favre and the Packers. His Mom along with Connie Payton will be signing books at a book store tonight by my house. I might stop by and pick up a few books.

What if his high notes are over? What if it just keeps going down hill from here?

The other guy was okay but felt horrible about it. I think it's where his fist went into Dean's hand that did it. It looked like it wasn't a direct hit and those guys really hit hard, very hard. OUCH!

Why do you guys do the things that you do?? I'll never understand men

That's okay to play the devil's advocate. After the draft I think there will be a new spark to get him going again. (I personally love a new spark, but I won't go there  - LOL) And also with the trades that will happen next year. Next year will hopefully be his best and then he go out on a high note. Just wishful thinking, hoping that will be the case.[/b]

The other guy was fine. Everyone there was stunned at the size of Deano's hands. Those aren't hands...those are serious sized paws!! I can still hear that crack.

Wow, the Bear really beat the hell out of Favre:

Brett Favre was nursing several injuries in the wake of their week 13 loss in Chicago. Favre's two biggest concerns are a bruised right forearm and a cut on his right hand that he suffered when he hit his hand on the helmet of Bears defensive end Alex Brown. He also has a nasty blister on his left foot, plus he also took a shot to the ribs, a kick to the right shin, and had his head bounced off the turf in the Bears game, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.

I don't think Deano is back home yet, another 3 hours or so, I think. Yes, he'll have a hard time typing.

I thought that one hit was not necessary on Favre, but then again I wasn't there so I don't know if it could've been stopped.

NealIsGod, what do you think of Steve Mariucci as a Packers head coach for next year?

I believe he is due home sometime this morning. Typing may be a little slower from him, but hopefully he will add his take on the whole trip.

Some reminders for him (should he choose to elaborate)...heads and trucks

Doesn't it, though? I am not a Bears fan, but that defense is impressive. Maybe they could stop the Colts in the SB?

It does say it all, however, I am ashamed of my town for it's behavior over this game. I am certainly no fan of the Pack, but I don't condone cheering over another player's injuries, nor do I advocate hassling fans of opposing teams. Hangs head in shame...slinks away....

Not without actually getting some offense we won't. I'm just happy we're actually having a winning season...once every 20 years or so...we actually do that

That is pretty bad! However, it shows a lack of class to cheer for an injury. The Pack wasn't helping themselves in that game. Our fans cheering something like that was totally unnecessary.
