Allright, Allright.....
I give you all the famous Survivor - Live At The Haymakers Club in Chicago in 1978.
How I got it ?
Well I'm lucky enough to know someone who was there to listen and caught on tape an "unknown" small band that night.... the rest is History...
When I received it 3 years ago.. I put it on a software to remove noises, cracks.... and I gave it to my friend. He sent a copy to Jim in the next months after I received it. He received all the cds of Jim autographed. I sent the show to Frank some months ago... he was so glad..
What we know now of this show that we didn't know and the guy who didn't know about it:
1 - It was the only time that the song "Life Is On The Line" is played live. (From Jim Peterik who told us in a letter)
2 - It is actually the 2nd show in the History of The Band!!!! (From Sullivan's letter)
I kept this recording all this time as one of the treasures recordings I have...
I give it to you fans today because I want that you hear the TRUE "sound signature" of Survivor. Survivor started as a true Hard Rock band.
Keep in mind this...
so Merry Christmas..
Fred

****** NOTE *******
Survivorfan2005:
We know you are a great fan as us.. It's great to have you as a great fan in this community.
But please, stop starting rumours...
Fire Makes Steel was never intended to be in Rocky Balboa.
The only songs that were once proposed to be in movies but for some reasons didn't made the final cut were:
"Velocitized" For Driven (2001) (Velocitized was first recorded in 1992 when Jimi made a short comeback in studio with Frank and Jim.. but leaved before Dave comeback for the '93 Reunion. )
"Man Against The World" for Rocky IV (1985)
"Ever Since The World" For Rocky III (1982)
and "Nevertheless" For D2: The Mighty Ducks (1994)
Maybe you think by starting a rumour you'll push the band to make choices and do what you dream of.. but it's not the best way.. trust me.
If I'm wrong and that Robin told you that story about the song "Teach me..." It's okay.
But we'll be fun for all of us here to stop posting rumours here...
Just info "offical" or quotes or interview from Peterik, Sullivan, Jamison, Bickler, McAuley, Ellis, Droubay, Ozellow, Groove, Dunnaway, Johnson and Smith.
as well as pictures and bootlegs are welcome...
I'm not against you survivorfan2005 but I'm a little sad to see all the time here rumours...
Take care you all
Fred
