That hand reminds me of a Stephen King short story I read years ago where eyes popped out on the fingers of people. I don't remember the name or plot of it. It's just the first thing I thought of when I saw that avatar.
I believe the story was called "I Am the Doorway" from the book "Night Shift". Great story about an astronaut infected w/ some alien being in space. Who checks out our world through the eyeballs that develope on the astronaut's fingertips. Cool story!
That's it! I read it years ago but it has stayed with me. I need to revisit that compilation. Is that the same one Landoliers was in?
You mean the Langoliers?
Yeah, that.![]()
No, I think the Langoliers were from "Four Past Midnight". I don't know how I remember all this, I haven't read any Stephen King in at least five years.
I petered out while reading the 4th book of the Dark Tower series. I should try to get back into that series after investing all that time reading the 1st 3 books
OMG you've got to go back to the Dark Tower. I don't know how far you got into Wizard and Glass. It got a little boring when they got to Mejis, but it gets better and the next book is great. It was the Dark Tower series that really got me into King. I read a few before but only became a huge fan trough the Dark Tower.
Thanks, I'll try to pick up where I left off this week.
I hope you do. You won't be disappointed.
