And I do not want this Marine used to grease the tank treads. I want him held accountable for what I and a lot of people believe is conduct unbecoming a Marine. For all I care that can be 45 & 45, $250 for two. I am not prepared to give him a free ride.

That is part of the whole point I have been trying to make.
He was wrong, we agree.
Should he be punished? Sure, we agree.
But the overall sentiment goes FAR BEYOND your suggestions.
People are rallying to have this guy discharged and sentenced.
And if this gains enuff steam because of the internet and threads like this,
you know as well as I do that the Marine Corps will have no choice but
to come down as hard as possible on this guy, making him the example.
They will throw him to the wolves (the general public that is going nuts
over this event) and toss him aside.
And to me, that is unfair.
