I hung out with her at Finn McCool's here in town a couple of weeks ago. She was in town doing (something) with some people I know and came out to one of the unplugged gigs. Very sweet person. :)

I have no interest in Boston without Delp. I know I sound like a loon, but I didn't care a bit for their 'Walk On' album. Cosmo is great in his own right, but Boston is nothing without Delp. RIP

I was in the same boat until I heard that Michael would be singing with them..if someone I didn't like so much as a singer and human being wasn't involved..I doubt I would even give a hoot about it..I'm really supporting Michael more than Boston/Tom on this.
When Michael is done with this..I doubt I will be following..agree so much on Brad..

The title track to "Walk On" is one of the best tunes they've ever done, with or without Delp, and I'm as big a Delp fan as anyone.

Off that album I actually liked..I Need Your Love and We Can Make It. When I first heard I Need Your Love on the radio I had to find out who it was.

St John - You're entitled to your own opinion of Boston's shit, but calling their sound "worn?" Come on now, Tom Scholz basically invented his own sound, as a guitarist and as a band. It was really like nothing that ever came before (or even after). The guitar tone on the debut inspired countless modern day guitars, pickups, amps, and pedals. And collectively, the band's sound was incredible for its time - layers of guitars, layer after layer of vocal harmonies, that lush chorused acoustic tone that everyone tried to copy in the 80s, punchy drums, the list goes on... Those albums' sound still holds up today, even the debut 32 years later... even very well produced stuff from that era usually has weak mastering... none of that here. You GOTTA at least respect the legacy if you don't respect the body of work. I'm kind of like that with Bob Dylan

Are you kidding? I don't think I've ever heard that about Boston's debut before. It's one of the few rock albums that you'll hear every song from it still played on the radio.

Well that has puzzled me as well, they play all over for "free". I imagine the festival pays them fine and they keep out in front of people. They are a live band through and through. But this year they are playing with Journey so people will see them after PAYING! Nice turnaround. ;)

Right, well, it's not so much they play those shows for free, but they get a cut of all the general admissions incoming to the festival on that given day/night. Just the same as if you went to a bar, paid a cover, and there was a band there. Same thing. :)

You know, that's the one song off that album I always skip...just dont care for it.

Everything else on there, to me, is superb. I Need Your Love and We Can Make It are easily up there with the Delp stuff. Livin' For You too.

I'm excited for the tour - I get to see them with Styx in June at Grand Casino in Hinckley, MN.

I would have rather seen Fran Cosmo as the lead singer, but there is some tension between him and Scholz.

As far as the photo goes, its either unintentionally of poor quality, or they decided to airbrush themselves.

Most folks dont like when you're taking bookings as their band without their knowledge. We've seen the last of Cosmo and Scholz together.
