St John - You're entitled to your own opinion of Boston's shit, but calling their sound "worn?" Come on now, Tom Scholz basically invented his own sound, as a guitarist and as a band. It was really like nothing that ever came before (or even after). The guitar tone on the debut inspired countless modern day guitars, pickups, amps, and pedals. And collectively, the band's sound was incredible for its time - layers of guitars, layer after layer of vocal harmonies, that lush chorused acoustic tone that everyone tried to copy in the 80s, punchy drums, the list goes on... Those albums' sound still holds up today, even the debut 32 years later... even very well produced stuff from that era usually has weak mastering... none of that here. You GOTTA at least respect the legacy if you don't respect the body of work. I'm kind of like that with Bob Dylan
