Classic rockers rejoice
Styx/REO/Night Ranger is a go and will draw well. 15 dates currently scheduled with an option for more if it does well, which it absolutely will.
The Big News
I am able to 100% confirm that KISS will be launching their next world tour in...Canada. Halifax is said to be the launch site. Dates in Quebec City, Toronto, Edmonton, etc. will follow suit. Still hearing June 24 as a launch date. The tour will be in support of their upcomign album which will be released on KISS Records, and available through an as-yet-unamed big box retailer.
Lita Keeps Trying
Lita Ford is said to be trying very, very hard to get on the Judas Priest and Heaven & Hell package bills, but may have been denied. She's been approached about a two-week run of Europe including festivals. I personally believe we'll see her this summer in the U.S. (Whitesnake/Lita Ford would draw well in theaters and casinos).
Somebody Call A Doctor...
Cinderella's people have recently contacted House Of Blues Concerts and a few casinos about doing some dates. Run would launch in the South/Southwest. All of this hinders on Tom Keifer's Nashville physician and an additional specialist giving him the all-clear to tour. Don't expect them to be on the road longer than 6 weeks if this happens.
CrueFest In Doubt
Despite lagging ticket sales for their current U.S. tour, CrueFest 2 is a go. But unless it fares better than the first one, LiveNation are pulling the plug. Rumors have begun to swirl that Motley are planning another studio album for 2011 and CrueFest will be reactivated at that time.
Priest Feast is a go
Priest are bringing the Priest Feast to 20 North American venues this summer. Routing will mimic that of the Metal Masters Tour.
That's all I got for now...

The only reason I'd go is the possibility of a quasi-DY reunion/songs being played.

I picked up Night Ranger's new album last summer. And to be honest, it is not very good.

NO DOUBT. REO blows. WHY do they keep going with them? Night Ranger'd be fun, but REO? Looks like another tour where I'll be sitting out.
Note to Styx- To make your shows more interesting to the diehards, PLEASE release some NEW music. I have no desire to see Miss America and Blue Collar Man played again and again and again.
Starting to get really annoyed with one of my favorite bands.
