I'm with you 100% here. That shit is VERY overrated. Hell, Tom Brady is usually the first guy off the field whether he wins or loses. Now, if Tebow is a guy who usually hangs around the festivities, and only disappeared because his team lost the game, then my opinion would be vastly different.
It's like that whole handshake-gate with LeBron last year. I'm the first to criticize LeBron because I think he's an ass despite the fact he plays for my team. But what the hell was he supposed to do, sit there and watch Dwight Howard's pearly white condescending grin and Rashard Lewis's doping ass celebrate in his face and wait until they were ready to shake hands? Who cares. It's like saying "Good luck" to your opponent before you start... why the fuck would I wish my opponent luck?
Now, if it's a sport where a handshake at the end is custom, that's different. Most sports aren't that way.
And LeBron not shaking hands was fine, but the way he refused to do any press conferences and threw his teammates under the bus and forced them to field all the tough questions was
not.
