Your uncapped intros are a dead give away Chickenbeef. All I know from Canada is Rush Triumph and Gordon Lightfoot.
All 3 will be in rotation on the show.

There are a lot of great/good bands - MY OPINION, that made it out of Canada, Rush being #1 of course, along with Triumph, Loverboy, Honeymoon Suite, Theory of a Deadman, April Wine, Chilliwack, Silverstein (really nice guys) Saga (which are okay), Three Days Grace, Barenaked Ladies, Helix, and don't forget Men Without Hats - LOL

Nickleback is Beyond GREAT!!! They are todays version of Def Leopard only better.

Loverboy was VERY VERY good back in the day. Mike Reno is GREAT!

Triumph and April Wine are a draw. Both are very good, but outside of Just A Game and Nature Of The Beast their other albums lacked something.

Rush is OK to decent at best.

As for Gowan, I will take him over Neil (Nursing Home) Diamond or Bruce( I'm a Pink Cadiliac Poet) Springsteen any day of the week, twice on Thursday, and thrice on Sunday.

That is what all the 'critics' said about Journey, Styx, etc......

Nickleback is TOTALLY AWESOME. Most of their albums are GREAT first song to last song.

You now have found a place as a 'critic' for Rolling Stone. Good luck with the gig.

To put it as kindly as possible, Nickleback is absolute trash.

it's obvious this yogi character doesn't have very good taste in music. nickleback is a just a corporate tool made to trick people into thinking it's a rock band almost as bad as justin bieber of the jonas bros.

All The Right Reasons, Silver Side Up & Dark Horse are ALL classic Albums.

Nickelback is one of the GREATEST rock bands of ANY era.

P.S. I also LOVE Staind and Shinedown.

The above 3 bands can hold their own with any bands in any era!!

I saw Shinedown open for Rob Zombie and Godsmack. They were decent. Definitely not noteworthy though, and definitely NOT in the same league as even Godsmack. Let alone bands from an earlier era.

I too saw Shinedown last year. They were great. The Sound Of Madness is one of the best Albums of all time.

The Crow and The Butterfly reached #1 two weeks ago. That makes like 6 #1's off the same album( Sound Of Madness). They are a TRULY incredible rock band.

As stated earlier Shinedown, Nickelback and Staind are as good as any rock bands in any era.

I love Shinedown, one of my favorite bands of "today". I don't mind Nickelback, however, I do have to giggle that I get mixed up with a couple of their songs because they sound the same :)

Only thing I don't like about Nickelback is the vocalist is trying too hard to have that 90s grunge sound that everyone emulated. Drives me nuts. However, I dig some of their songs.

Rush is a classic band. I went through a Rush phase for years. Loved them. After "Grace Under Pressure" though, they sounded too much like The Police. If I want The Police, I'll play The Police.

Having said that, I have Vapor Trails and it's a good one.
