Watch some of his pre-Idol stuff on YT also - Kashmir, Rainbow in the Dark - pretty decent.
I think he has been diagnosed with both Tourette's and Asperger's syndromes also - the Tourette's symptoms were quite noticeable in some of his previous performances but not so much tonight.

It seems to come out more the more nervous he gets. I noticed his tourette's was more noticable while he was standing there waiting the other night to see if he got into the top 13. I'm sorry I just don't get the Casey thing, wasn't too impressed with his tonight, but James has been a fave since the beginning, LOL the rockers usually are. I think he's a little like Adam, he's got that killer scream, he sounded good on the Judas Priest one, but agreed he was good on the McCartney one tonight. And Pia has a stunning voice, wow can she sing!

Another Thing Coming was steller!

I think the money from the winner's releases account for very little. No one excites me this year. Like I've always said - just because you have a great voice, doesn't mean you know HOW to sing. The quality this year is maybe one the worst yet. But hey, this is the age of studio tricks, autotune, and scores of other audio trickery....this show tends to gravitate towards personality/image anyway....you can always create a voice in the studio.

I don't know what you're smoking Sean, but this year has tenfold better singers than last year. There is some definite good ones. Last week wasn't great. But there was some real good performances tonight. I thought Lauren did a great job on one of my favorite songs, considering she had the flu on top of it............looooooooove Melissa E's I'm The Only One. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_SEmcFVG-8
Stefano (Simply Red song) and James (Bon Jovi song) did well too IMO. LOL, makes you realize how old you're getting when they had to chose songs from the year they were born and all the songs were from the 80s and 90s.

Every time I see him I think of that Neumann kid in the MAD comic.
And that deep voice from a 16 year old is just plain freaky!
SusieP wrote:Not a Paul fan.
I just can't get beyond the teeth.
They look like Ross Gellar in that episode of Friends when he whitened his!
And don't get me started on the way he moves his legs on stage.
And Scotty/kid from the Mad comic keeps curling his lip. I hate that. Is he trying to channel Elvis or something???

And Scott......... do something with that bloody hair. It's a rubbish style.

I'm rooting for James..Afterall Steve Tyler said if he makes it to the finale, he'll get on stage and sing with him.

I'm rooting for him too. I like Lauren and Pia too. Pia's got an amazing voice, and there is just something about Lauren's voice that I like, a little rasp and power to it. I'm just waiting for her to belt one out though......and surprise everybody. If she wasn't fighting the flu and had a little more confidence I think she could have slayed people if she had just let loose and belted out Melissa Ethridge's 'I'm The Only One'.
S2M wrote:Resident curmudgeon reporting.....they all stink. I've watched every season for the laugh/giggle factor. Horrible way to find talent.
For me, it's the Bruins-Blackhawk game on Versus, then Top Shot.
Every season the producers have found creative, yet boring ways to extend the show. Whether it's not kicking anybody off one week, or extending the auditions.
Curmudgeon alert over....carry on.
Triple S wrote:Pia is beautiful and has a beautiful voice - but for me she's a big snoozefest - kind of reminds me of Katherine McPhee. Paul kinda creeps me out, Scotty makes me smile but every song sounds the same. Go James!
