Here's an official presentation of the forthcoming album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-mJZ7mmYE0

You can hear a few seconds of two songs in this video. Maybe not bad...
The album will be released by frontiers records and "will see the light of day on Frontiers Records on October 14th in Europe and October 18th in North America."
"Tracks: Worth Fighting For; Can't Wait For Love; Sail Away; Chasing Euphoria; Find Another Way; Get Back In The Game; I Did Everything Wrong; Shadows Of Love; Hearts Beat Again; We Gotta Believe; Kicking And Screaming; Your Photograph"

Jimi rules the album...

Still digesting it....but to me it sounds like 70/30 in Jimi's favor.

That sounds awesome to me!

Although, I do love Bobby Kimball's singing as well. He's a fantastic singer!

It seems to me that Jimi might have been featured a little bit more in that promo clip, too?

Was it really an accurate statement by Jimi in the promo when he said Toto was more successful than Survivor?

Survivor on the American Billboard charts...
Eye Of The Tiger #1
Burning Heart #2
The Search Is Over #4
High On You #8
Is This Love #9
I Can't Hold Back #13
American Heartbeat #17
Poor Man's Son #33
How Much Love #51
First Night #53
Didn't Know It Was Love #61
Summer Nights #62
The Moment Of Truth #63
Somewhere In America #70
The One That Really Matters #74
Across The Miles #74
Caught In The Game #77
Man Against The World #86

Toto on the American Billboard charts...
Africa #1
Rosanna #2
Hold The Line #5
I'll Be Over You #11
Pamela #22
99 #26
Stranger In Town #30
Make Believe #30
I'll Supply The Love #45
Georgie Porgy #48
Holyanna #71
Waiting For Love #73

Survivor have had 18 songs make it into the "Hot 100" to Toto's 12.

Both bands have had a #1 song, and a #2 song on the charts. Although, EOTT was a much bigger #1 than Africa was.

Survivor have had 5 top-10 hits to Toto's 3.

Both bands have had 8 top-40 hits.

To this day I still hear Survivor's "Eye Of The Tiger" "The Search Is Over" "High On You" "Is This Love" and "I Can't Hold Back" on the radio on a regular basis. To this day I hear Toto's "Africa" "Rosanna" and "Hold The Line" on the radio on a regular basis.

I know that Jimi did not sing all of Survivor's hits, including the biggest one of all. But Bobby Kimball didn't sing all of the Toto hits either.

I remember that back in 1993 Survivor and Toto toured together for a while. And from what I heard, they were co-headliners, taking turns going on first and last.

Toto MUCH bigger world wide.

Survivor, bigger USA, no question.

No news on Jimi's own solo album yet.

And as for Bobby the singer - he used to be untouchable.

might be good, but that is about the most useless promo I have ever heard for actually featuring clips from the album. Nice talky piece, but utterly useless for convincing people that this is something worth purchasing.

With regards to the solo thing the German based project that Jimi was working on which spurned the single Restless Kind is now going under the monicker of One Man's Trash featuring Jimi Jamison no release date for album yet.

Yeah, and that was a great tune IMO. I'd love to hear more of where that came from. Can I download/buy the MP3 anywhere?

Toto were in fact much bigger worldwide, and much much bigger with regards to touring, continuing to tour all over the world through all the 90s and still doing it now. As an example, in Italy you would hear Toto on the radios, but never Survivor

Stats are just numbers...Toto RIGHT NOW sell out 10,000 seaters accross the pond....Survivor...not quite...PLUS, in worldwide album sales Toto probably has Survivor beat 7 or 8 to 1.....

Like them both, but NO comparison really...I have worked with both groups.....and as Players Toto wins 1000%

There really is NO argument there....NONE.....

But Survivor did have more success HERE in the USA hit wise....album sales they are probably tied here in the us...but overseas it is a landslide for Toto....

I had accidentally listed "The Search Is Over" as having charted at #5, when in reality it charted at #4. So, does that change anything as far as which band was more successful? j/k

I am aware that the members of Toto are more technical players than the Survivor guys, for sure. However, I myself prefer Survivor.

But don't get me wrong, Toto are in my Top-10.

Joe. Do you like the band "Giant" at all? I consider them a little similar to Toto in the sense that their made up of a lot of technically skilled sessions players.

I recall Tsio actually reaching no. 2 at one point but for the week ending it was an official no. 4. Not that it really matters.

If you include session work, Toto's guys have played on about 5000+ albums. You don't even begin to count up those sales. Lukather's done 1000+ on his own.
