Copycat. That was one of my upset picks this week (even though I can't believe I'm picking the Girl Scouts to win a game). Also love the Cowboys (which is just plain dopey, given the Cowgirls propensity for sucking) over the Ravens this week and Packers over Texans. For the record, I think your Giants will crash and burn. Niners winning this week is my absolute lock of the week. Every now and gain, I get a really strong feeling about a game (now if only those feelings were always correct), and this is that game this weekend. Love the Niners to win this game.
Joe Flacco: "Ray Lewis will kill you."
Asked by Ed Werder of ESPN if this could be Lewis’s final season, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco said in no uncertain terms that there’s no way Lewis is retiring.
“If you tell Ray you hear he’s not playing any more, he’d freaking kill you,” Flacco told Werder.

Over the past few years, there was always a sense of the "Any Given Sunday" vibe but over the past 2 years and especially this year, that moniker is expanding. Anybody can literally beat anybody from week to week. I don't care who you are. Going on the road anymore and winning nowadays is a feat in itself but the upsets and how all the teams are playing week to week closes the gap between good and bad teams. There are no more elite teams , just good vs average IMHO.
You see the Raiders and Titans beat the Steelers. You see the Cardinals and Seahawks beat the Patriots and you see the Colts beat the Packers last week, not to mention the 6-0 Falcons STRUGGLING with Carolina and even Oakland today.
For the pickems, I'm about consistent on my win totals each week. I've been hanging around 9-10 week to week and I got 7 today already with the Pack taking it to the Texans so far. Those pickems seem to jack up sometimes with its software. I had the Bears earlier in the year and it marked the other team and today I had the Browns and it said I checked the Bungles when I know for a fact I picked the Clownies.
You're right, I actually picked the Giants, Skins, Titans, Fins, Seahags and Brownies and it now says I had picked the Bungs, 49er's, Steelers, Pats, Vikes and Rams..that system is fucked up..![]()

I'd never pick the Rams.
Fact Finder wrote:Btw, Travis, you need to re-think that pick of Bungs by 13 next week, switch it around by about 30 points the other way dude. Steelers by 14 or even 34 wouldn't surprise me.
Breast cancer awareness is the MONTH of October. I don't see how pink is demeaning either. Maybe some of these guys even have a personal connection...ever thought of that??Fact Finder wrote:Can we all agree that it's time for the pink to go away? Far be it for me to sound offensive but 3 weeks is enough already. I am pretty sure that most men support healthy female Breasts. Why demean the guys like this?

I get all of that, believe it or not.![]()
The FUCKING 4TH OF JULY doesn't even get a month, nor does lung cancer, prostate cancer, bone cancer, brain cancer and ass cancer. Cancer sucks, and so does pink on a football player.

Let me preface my statement by first blasting the Patriots. I thought today's game was fucking embarrassing. I am telling anyone who will listen to me that this team isn't winning a damn thing with this fucking AWFUL Secondary. These fuckers can't cover anyone. Belichick seriously needs to find a veteran cornerback who can cover someone. Now, that I have that out of the way, let me say that while I mostly agree with what your saying, comparing the Steelers loss to Oakland (who are 1-4 and in last place) and the Titans (who are 2-4 and in third place) is hardly the same as losing to Arizona and Seattle, who are tied for first place and who both have very good defenses. That said, the Patriots should have beaten both teams, but simply couldn't make plays when they needed to. This Patriots team has now lost 3 games by a total of 4 points, so as far as I'm concerned, they don't know how to win close games and put teams away, until they prove otherwise!

The Patriots Secondary has been in shambles since Rodney Harrison retired. Dude could flat out play and receivers were afraid to get near him because they knew he would take their head off. Assante was okay, but also got burned a lot. Truth be told, they haven't had a very good Cornerback since Ty Law. The frustrating part for me is that they draft a ton of guys to play in the Secondary and none of them can fucking play. McCourty gets more PI calls against him than any DB in the history of the NFL, because he simply refuses to turn his head to play the ball. I love their pick of Chandler Jones this season, as the dude can flat out play. I just wish they would find ANYONE who can play Defensive Back. It's fucking beyond embarrassing when a QB like Wilson lights your team up. The dude simply isn't close to being that good and will be out of the NFL within 3 years!
YoungJRNY wrote:Plus, it came against an NFC team. Same with New England. If you decide TO drop one, drop one to the other Conference because head to head against your Conference will evidently come into play for a playoff seeding at the end of the season.
I think the Pack's whooping of the Texans tonight shows how inferior the AFC really is. A 2-3 Packers team just destroyed the only undefeated AFC team in the NFL.
