We shall see. I think this game will be tougher than many Patriots fans think. The reality is that Seattle has the top ranked defense in the entire NFL and have given up only 5 offensive TD's the entire season (which is astonishing to me). That said, the Patriots also have the top ranked offense in the entire NFL and surprisingly have more rushing TD's than any team in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots do something unorthodox in this game (at least this season, given they're running the ball more than they're passing it) and see them take a lot of chances down the field. I suspect that this will be a close, and low-scoring game. Patriots by a FG.

Copycat. That was one of my upset picks this week (even though I can't believe I'm picking the Girl Scouts to win a game). Also love the Cowboys (which is just plain dopey, given the Cowgirls propensity for sucking) over the Ravens this week and Packers over Texans. For the record, I think your Giants will crash and burn. Niners winning this week is my absolute lock of the week. Every now and gain, I get a really strong feeling about a game (now if only those feelings were always correct), and this is that game this weekend. Love the Niners to win this game.

This would be a huge upset at home. Not saying it isn't impossible but put it in bold.

For some reason, I've been seeing good vibes from Cleveland lately, scoreboard withstanding. I think they are due for a win and Dalton has struggled in some area's getting the football in his WR's hands moving the chains and the Browns D is actually TOUGH so I have a gut that Cleveland may squeak one out.

The 9'er/Giants is a toughie, all around. Like you said, sometimes you go into a week with strong feelings towards a game and my feeling sides with Eli and the Giants even though I'm having trouble picking against the 9'ers at the moment, which makes it a great matchup to watch since I can't put a confident finger on it.

Cowboys and Ravens is the toughest of the week. You literally have the SAME QB going head to head with each other and it'll come down to which QB doesn't throw the boneheaded and dreaded interception at the wrong time.

Baltimore's run-D is struggling and Murray could gash them enough to the point where Romo could distinguish the ball around to his wideouts. D-Ware going after Flacco will force Flacco into some bad throws. Dallas is more desperate and is coming off a BYE so that is the edge for me right there.

Good games today. Good luck to everyone's teams.

Joe Flacco: "Ray Lewis will kill you."

Asked by Ed Werder of ESPN if this could be Lewis’s final season, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco said in no uncertain terms that there’s no way Lewis is retiring.

“If you tell Ray you hear he’s not playing any more, he’d freaking kill you,” Flacco told Werder.

After last week's debacle dropped me to last in the pick 'em, I need a big week. I picked a bunch of whacky games. The only one I didn't have the balls to go for was Oakland over Atlanta.

Forget about Mendenhall being an average running back.. he's a first class scumbag! I wouldn't root for him if he were running for my team at 4th and inches on the goal line down 3 in the SUper Bowl. Fucking muslim scum bag.

Whoa, did my picks suck ass today. Oh well. Still a great week of games. So many games right down to the wire. Just another reason that the NFL is the best league on the planet, even when my team doesn't win!

Over the past few years, there was always a sense of the "Any Given Sunday" vibe but over the past 2 years and especially this year, that moniker is expanding. Anybody can literally beat anybody from week to week. I don't care who you are. Going on the road anymore and winning nowadays is a feat in itself but the upsets and how all the teams are playing week to week closes the gap between good and bad teams. There are no more elite teams , just good vs average IMHO.

You see the Raiders and Titans beat the Steelers. You see the Cardinals and Seahawks beat the Patriots and you see the Colts beat the Packers last week, not to mention the 6-0 Falcons STRUGGLING with Carolina and even Oakland today.

For the pickems, I'm about consistent on my win totals each week. I've been hanging around 9-10 week to week and I got 7 today already with the Pack taking it to the Texans so far. Those pickems seem to jack up sometimes with its software. It did it last year too and I stopped using it. I had the Browns today and it said I checked the Bungles when I know for a fact I picked the Clownies.

You're right, I actually picked the Giants, Skins, Titans, Fins, Seahags and Brownies and it now says I had picked the Bungs, 49er's, Steelers, Pats, Vikes and Rams..that system is fucked up..

I'd never pick the Rams.

Have you watched the Steelers at all? The Bengals and Steelers are about on the same level right now. Take Pittsburgh away from Heinz Field at the moment and they play like absolute SHIT. Until they show they can win on the road and not blow lead after lead, there's nothing there to suggest that the Steelers can waltz into Cincy and dominate them, especially if their going to be without Polamalu, Pouncey, Woodley, Mendenhall, Gilbert and Redman. Our whole team is in absolutley in shambles. We'll know more from the injury report Tuesday to see if we actually have a chance to put together a line next week.

I lost a grandmother to breast cancer and my aunt, who I'm very close with, survived it 5 years ago. That being said, I'm sort of on the fence about all the pink shit flying around a football field too. I dunno. As long as it's really raising that much money for the cause, it's cool I guess. Just a bit disconcerting.

Pretty bush league on the Houston fans' part booing the Texans. They ARE 5-0 and losing to an angry deposed former Super Bowl champ and MVP QB. And it ain't over yet by any means. Just ask Andrew Luck and Reggie Wayne.

I get all of that, believe it or not.

The FUCKING 4TH OF JULY doesn't even get a month, nor does lung cancer, prostate cancer, bone cancer, brain cancer and ass cancer. Cancer sucks, and so does pink on a football player.

Let me preface my statement by first blasting the Patriots. I thought today's game was fucking embarrassing. I am telling anyone who will listen to me that this team isn't winning a damn thing with this fucking AWFUL Secondary. These fuckers can't cover anyone. Belichick seriously needs to find a veteran cornerback who can cover someone. Now, that I have that out of the way, let me say that while I mostly agree with what your saying, comparing the Steelers loss to Oakland (who are 1-4 and in last place) and the Titans (who are 2-4 and in third place) is hardly the same as losing to Arizona and Seattle, who are tied for first place and who both have very good defenses. That said, the Patriots should have beaten both teams, but simply couldn't make plays when they needed to. This Patriots team has now lost 3 games by a total of 4 points, so as far as I'm concerned, they don't know how to win close games and put teams away, until they prove otherwise!

The Patriots Secondary has been in shambles since Rodney Harrison retired. Dude could flat out play and receivers were afraid to get near him because they knew he would take their head off. Assante was okay, but also got burned a lot. Truth be told, they haven't had a very good Cornerback since Ty Law. The frustrating part for me is that they draft a ton of guys to play in the Secondary and none of them can fucking play. McCourty gets more PI calls against him than any DB in the history of the NFL, because he simply refuses to turn his head to play the ball. I love their pick of Chandler Jones this season, as the dude can flat out play. I just wish they would find ANYONE who can play Defensive Back. It's fucking beyond embarrassing when a QB like Wilson lights your team up. The dude simply isn't close to being that good and will be out of the NFL within 3 years!

I'm not comparing the Steelers loss's to the Raiders and the Titans as being on the same level competitive-wise as NE losing to 'Zona or Seattle. I don't concern myself with that because as I said before, each week brings a different mindset and circumstance to how a coach gameplans for a football team. Each week is different and teams never play the same level of ball they did the week before (look at Green Bay tonight. The Colts beat them but GB bounces back to MANHANDLE a very physical Texans team.) The NFL is inconsistent as ever right now.

What I was saying is what you said at the end of your paragraph, JFB. Simply losing to teams you should beat and givin' New England and Pittsburgh's standards of being a top dawg this whole decade in the AFC, is you should never lose the games you should win and those are the Oakland's, Tennessee's, Arizona's and Seattle's on the schedule.

It's stunning they can't find a mainstay in the secondary. Joe Haden returned for the Browns today (he hadn't played since week 1 because of his Aderall suspension), and it was AMAZING the difference he made in our D. AJ Green still got his, but Haden changed so many plays and stopped some huge momentum swings. Our D hadn't looked that poised since week 1 against Philly.

The Texans have done themselves a HUGE favor by losing this one tonight, and losing big. It takes the pressure of being undefeated off of them early enough where it's not a continuing narrative through the season. In my opinion, it's a fatal distraction for each and every team that has been in that position the last several years.

Plus, it came against an NFC team. Same with New England. If you decide TO drop one, drop one to the other Conference because head to head against your Conference will evidently come into play for a playoff seeding at the end of the season.

I think the Pack's whooping of the Texans tonight shows how inferior the AFC really is. A 2-3 Packers team just destroyed the only undefeated AFC team in the NFL.

The Texans had an off night and the Pack played great. I don't think we can proclaim the AFC the ugly stepchild just yet. I'd still love the Texans' playoff chances (assuming no more catastrophic injuries to the likes of Schaub, Watt, and Foster).
