Always talking trash about JY and Tommy. You listened to this interview with the main goal of finding something to pick apart. So sad.

Sad is correct!
What did JY say the concept was again? Question. Is it a concept album? JY “a little bit”.

Nothing to bash here. Just like DDY, nothing to bash in 99% of his interviews.
Great interview JY!!

I'll be happy to fill you in. It is not a story as The Mission was. It's an album with songs that were written around an idea same as Grand Illusion and POE. This information has been stated by several of the band members which is why JY said "sort of". Your jealousy is so obvious!![]()

.
COTC is even less discernible. And the music is not as good.
By contrast Kilroy, Righteous and Chance are real characters who sing songs that explain their reason for being in an actual story.
The comments on all Styx sites everywhere show the fans displeasure with both new songs from COTC
and yes I am so jealous.
The comments on YouTube are especially harsh. I know it’s Dennis people. LOL.

GI, PO8, PARADISE THEATER and yes KWH are demanding you apologize for lumping them in with The Mission and COTC. Those albums had clear and understandable
themes.
Not all songs on any concept album will directly correlate to the concept. Understood and accepted.
But the Mission story, whatever that was is never supported by any meaningful lyric on any song. I read the story and was curious to learn about the participants. Captain Shaw, first officer Gowan, not JY? and JY the engineer. Engineer of a 3 minute song.
There is nothing to be learned from them. If you enjoy the music that’s great but don’t insult us for not being able to understand the point of visiting Mars.

As for the concept, it is actually pretty easy to figure out what it is about. When I saw the title of the album I thought I had an idea. Then when I heard Reveries it was obvious what the loose concept is.

Now you’ve completely lost it! Not sure if I should call you Suite Madame Froy or Dr Righteous! Your jealousy is getting the best of you. My advice to you is to stay away from sharp objects for the next 3 weeks.

DJ
This is a recent demand from Styx management. Dennis knew nothing about it until interviewers in both print and radio told him. I have the follow up Dennis interview with the same KSHE people who did JY where they tell Dennis what happened.
How would you deal with that sort of ask if you were interviewing them?

Good advice CS thanks![]()
I’ll start by avoid reading the concepts of Mission and COTC.
Whew, I feel my “jealousy” floating away. You’re a life saver.

EXACTLY. Funny, when they DID talk about Dennis, his bitches complain about what the band said - especially JY. Now that they ask to stay off the subject, they bitch about that, too. Again, FUCK DENNIS...Styx should just do what they want and ignore all of the drama. Promote the songs, not the bullshit drama.
