Well if the promotion is true, then yes, it is a great promotion. I howver would hope that there would be something to let people know that this cd contains a different version of CSA than what they are used to.
So if I got this with no warning, I'd be very unhappy.
I don't think they HAVE to tour. I think they WANT to tour. They are out there making $50,000-100,000/show. Perhaps they are not making as much as they were with Dennis. But is sure seems like they are enjoying it a whole lot more.
IMO, Cyclorama is the best album since Grand Illusion, and I am really looking forward to more new material.

Regarding Suing the band, I think anyone who was a partner in a business for 30 years and who worked 30 long and hard to build up the name and reputation of the business, and then was shown the door while the other partners went of and made money largely off of that name and reputation, would do the same thing....admit it, if you were DDY, you wouldnt have smiled and waved, and you know it.
By your definition the classy thing for Dennis to do would have been to reach down, grab his ankles and say "thank you may I have another ?"
As far as his stage banter, He may be proping his contributions to Styx up more than you like
but he's not tearing down his former bandmates.
compare that to Tommy, who once mocked one of Dennis's songs on stage every night of a Damn Yankees tour
or JY, who is constantly minimizing DDY's contributions to the band ( i.e. this incarnation of the band is the best ever......Yeah sure it is JY....)
So if the examples you cite are the best examples you can come up with, you must have a very low opinion of the level of class of some other members of Styx.
Dennis is High Class in comparison and I've just presented evidence that backs that statement up.

To which Monker says:
"It was pretty funny too."
I guess we can see where you stand on class Monker.......If all it takes to be classy is to refrain from being classless after you've been called on it, that's a pretty low threshold you hold your heroes up to, isn't it ?
And I love your double standard about who is amd isn't classless when they prop themselves , or their current lineup up. When JY does it, it's OK, but it's one of your examples of Dennis having no class........I take it you weren't on the debate team growing up were you ?
And another thing. Yes, JY has been quoted since last year that "this is the BEST line up ever". Um, he said that when Glen was in the band and now he's saying it with Ricky in the band. He says it with Chuck and he says it without Chuck. So which line-up is "the BEST line up ever"???? Does it depend on the week? Late next year when Todd's gone, and they'll have a new drummer will that be the "best line up ever"? Yikes
