And if Froy was CEO of a record label who had both those hits I bet his tune would change instantly...

Showing my ignorance here...wasn't the remake of Drift Away WITH Dobie Gray and done by Uncle Kracker? At least that's the only remake I knew of that song?

Could Bad Medicine errrr... I mean It's My Life be the the split/schitzo personality of our former Arby's loving, Oven Mitt toting New Shooze.

For some reason I remember the Shoozster hating Bon Jovi and stating how much better Def Leppard was. He couldnt stand Dennis either, and praised the 'New Styx'. It would be the perfect front for his reappearance.

I am thinking someone just wants to play the other side of the coin to rattle some chains!

Well,,,I slagged the people who slagged the soundbites due to the limited time of them.Therefore it is also not enough time to say if these are great.This will not be top 10 material I am sure,but if some record company is paying Styx to put this out ,who can blame them for making it.I will need the whole cd to make a fair review.
I must say though,,,on 'I don't need no doctor' Larry sounds great as Steve Marriot.

Yes, they all did...they must have because I used to hear them constantly. Ugly Kid Joe, big in the 80s, re-recorded "Cats..."[/quote]

Ugly Kid Joe was actually a 90s band. Their first record came out in late 91 or early 92. Their cover of "Cats in the Cradle" was on their second record.

As for the other songs listed, they were all big hits in the 80s.

Being played on the radio doesn't automatically entitle a song to "hit" status.
