I just looked on Billboard's top 100 chart for albums that ends May 21, 2005... and Styx is not on it... this is the album chart. Now sometimes this stuff is a week behind so I could be wrong... and I don't doubt what you're saying... I'm just looking for the evidence myself because...... well frankly I don't trust what people say on a forum lock, stock and barrel.

Dave Matthews Band Makes A 'Stand' At No. 1
- May 18, 2005
Dave Matthews Band blasts onto the chart with its fourth No. 1 album, "Stand." All of its studio efforts since 1998 have opened in the top spot ... Weezer logs its highest chart peak yet, as its new set enters at No. 2 ... Dierks Bentley bows in the pole position on Top Country Albums and nabs his first top 10 on The Billboard 200 ... World Wrestling Entertainment champion John Cena makes handsome bows on three charts with his debut ... A number of rock veterans see high entries this week, including Van Zant, Robert Plant and Styx ... Merge Records and Spoon have reasons to celebrate ... The Starting Line makes an incredible start ... while everyone from Robert Earl Keen, M.I.A., Amos Lee, Pray for the Soul of Betty (featuring former "American Idol" contender Constantine Maroulis) and Team Sleep make chart noise

If 19000 cds gets you the 46 top selling record then there is a problem
It should not even be listed
They should only list cds that sell a min of 100 thousand units
A top 10 if you will.
46 is nothing.FANTASTIC ACCOMPLISHMENT!!! Hopefully, this will help them when they come up with their next CD of all new material.

Yea, that was before I knew they were going to promote the hell out of it and sell it for half price.

The only problem I see comes from people like you who say "this won't even sell 10,000 cds" and then Styx DOUBLES THAT in the first week...and yet you still don't see how wrong you are.
The problem comes from people like you who spout that the CD has fizzled -
Styx is on the right track, people like you jumped the track at least six years ago.
Rob Thomas recently made chart history as his first solo album, ...SOMETHING TO BE, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This was the first time a male artist from a rock or pop group debuted at #1 with their first solo album since Billboard introduced the chart 50 years ago.
